Justwise,

Their is boundary between Diplomacy and Spying. Have you asked yourself why US exchanged prisoners with Russia some months ago.

Julian did not hack any system, he just published info he got just like BBC, Sky and RT are doing with the info wiki released. I don't know what you are on about hacking.

B4 me and u were born, govt around the world does their businesses like this, its no big deal and now one homeless animal thinks its ok to steal it and sell it.
Does that make it right? Is the question not how long itz been happening. You are clearly missing the point.

ElRazur
Yes it will cause more harm and at the same time we know who is back stabbing who. The Arab league will tell Iran that they are in support of their nuclear whatever but will get behind and tell US to Bomb Iran. Why not let Iran to know their stand abnitio to avoid any confrontation with anybody. Don't you think Iran might be doing strong head on the believe that her Arab brothers are behind whatever they are doing while what they are seeking is Iran distruction.

No serious TV company will ever illegaly get hold of CLASSIFIED govt secret cable and went on and publish it. You don't seems to get it.

But those serious TV companies will publish from a 3rd party. I did not get this news from wiki mind you. If its illegal its illegal. Why is BBC and the rest broadcasting it to the whole world. They could have said "no we don't broadcast such the news is illegal or itz from an illegal source".

The BBC u keep going about never stole any cable from ur so called 'thir world' country and publish it, what BBC does is under-cover reporting.

Wikileak made the cable public and published it online AND the USA govt knew about the availability of it b4 the TV and newspaper companies start running it.

@topic

So it appears there is a warrant out for him in relation to sexual molestation and a possible case of forced sex.  Apparently the Swiss authority has turned down his application for asylum or stay.

One thing that I can't help but ask again is why are people not stating the good this leak will serve in relation to the harm it will cause?  Why is this particular question getting sidelined?  Can those who support this kind of leaks give their views please.

The only attempt I have so far is from Presido1 and it is a weak one in my opinion.  Any takers?

see why being a Mo-ron is bad, as Elrazor is just talking to himself? Sick dude.

It is ver dangerous engaging a M-o-r-o-n(Mr.Muppet/Elrazor/Justfoolish), they have refused to have a slice of common sense you have given them. He prefers living in delusion that knowing the truth, don't see, that is why the release of the cables has made vomiting nonsense all day.

Justwise,

It will be nice if you read well b4 you reply. Did i mention 3rd world country anywhere in my post. I think your mind is pre-conditioned already so no need discusing. You and Elrazor asked any good this leak will bring i answered with the case of iran but you never mentioned it in your last post. Was it an oversight?

I Never read anywhere that Saudi publicly  support Iran acquiring nuclear weapons. The point you don't seem to understand is that. .diplomatically govt around the world say things they will never say in public and that is how things are . You will be shocked if Nigerian diplomatic bag is made public, that is why the bag never searched at airport, its the govt secrete and every govt understands that.

Nigerian embassies round the world does send cables back home, stealing it and making the content public can only damage the relationship btw countries involved. Me and you gain nothing from the leak.

So you agree it will cause more harm, but try to present the point that "we will know who is back-stabbing who" as more important? Are you kidding me?

One do not fire a shot-gun to discipline a child, you see.

Regardless of what's been said behind close doors, the human relations has/have never been a straightforward business. There are deceit, con, deception, entrapment and  it will continue to be so. It is what holds humanity together, especially in an era of political hostility.

May I remind you that England was promised votes and what not at the World cup bid, and do any of these "promised votes" materialised? No it never. You see, it is part of what makes us human.

To think that you will come across or suggest that "knowing who the back-stabbers are" is more important or worth debating here is just wrong in my opinion.

The strong point remains, these leaks will cause more harm than good. It is good you share that view.

PS
Asange is still wanted and it is believed that he is in hiding in the UK (South East of England). The irony of it to me now, is that he leaked what can be argued to be "state-secrets" (well most of it are just tabloid-style gossip so far) and he is now hiding within that state  shocked  I would have expect him to come out and at least provide some answers to the allegations of despoil against him.

So Julian Assange is refusing to go to Sweden to answer the case against him of sexual molestation/rape? Surely, he's got nothing to hide.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-11921080

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange will fight attempts to take him to Sweden to face rape allegations, his lawyer said.

Mark Stephens told the BBC that legal moves against his client seemed to be a "political stunt" by a state that allowed US rendition flights.

He warned Wikileaks could release more secrets in a bid to protect itself.

A Swedish arrest warrant for Mr Assange was issued on Thursday. It comes amid the phased Wikileaks release of some 250,000 US diplomatic secret messages.

The warrant to interview the journalist - thought currently to be in the UK - concerns alleged sexual crimes during a visit to Sweden in August.

But Mr Stephens told the BBC's Andrew Marr that the entire case against Mr Assange had been dropped by Sweden's chief prosecutor in September.

He said it was only "after the intervention of a Swedish politician" that a new prosecutor in Gothenburg - not Stockholm, where his client and two women had been - began a new case.

It resulted in the current warrants, and an Interpol notice being issued. His client denies the allegations.

So he is now using the data that was illegally handed to him as a bargain chip so as not to go to Sweden to face trial?

Smh.

Amazon has stopped hosting Wikileaks

Paypal has cancelled Wikileaks account

Jillian Assange made the mistake of claiming that he will release documents on Bank of America in January.

That's when I knew they would silence him before then. Hence Sweden went and redrew his extradition request. You don't phuck with the banks or the financial system and expect to go scott free.

On a lighter note, Ecuador has offered asylum to Assange. The only place Assange can feel comfortable today is South America and I ADVICE TO TAKE UP THE OFFER IMMEDIATELY!!!

How come folks like you cannot call a spade a spade?

He received information that was taken illegally, and now he appears to be ready to use it to hold justice and truth to ransom. The very thing he claimed to be fighting for in the first place via disclosing sensitive data. Wtf!

He just released into public domain, information that can be potentially used by terrorist etc but I guess this is fine by you isnt?

It will be interesting to see how he gets out of the catch 22 he is fast finding himself. Only time will tell.
