To be fair to our government, they are starting to enforce some professionalism in the teaching profession.

TRCN is a great way to enforce some professionalism in the teaching profession, but it is long overdue!!!

Teaching should not be a job anyone can wake up and decide to do!!!

Look at the level of professionalism in other professions, like law, engineering, pharmacy, medicine, nursing etc. and compare it with the teaching profession, and you will see how poorly placed the teaching profession is when compared to others.

A teacher should be well trained in the field of teaching, should be well-certified, and should be getting a sensible pay.

But the government need to slow down and not be hasty in enforcing the registrations, so as not to achieve a counter-effective result.

The government should know that it can’t rectify this problem with haste, it must be rectified through a calm, rational, realistic and effective method.

The government should know that taking teaching jobs is the way most unemployed graduates use to survive and not fall into depression.

Whatever the government would do, it should thread with caution and weigh the two sides of the coin to achieve an effective and desired result.

Please, the government should not increase the depression and frustration rate in Nigeria by being hasty with their plan, but they should carefully and tactically effect the changes.
