''Na wa o'' doesn't only mean ''this is serious'', or ''this is terrible''.

It means so many other things.

There's no real translation of the term into formal English. The term can encompass anything from ''it's terrible'' to ''It's normal'', to ''it's a pleasant surprise''.

For instance you're sleeping, and your brother from London walks into your room in an unannounced visit. You say ''Nnamdi! Na wa o! What are you doing here?''

''Na wa o '' can also signify absolute normality. For instance you wake up from sleep, yawn, and stretch your arms, before calming down with a brief utterance of ''na wa o'', and a kiss of the teeth before getting up to hustle.

''Na wa o'' can signify tension, or seriousness, or normality, or abnormaility, or surprise, or frustration, or happiness, or absurdity.

So there's no real way to define the term. It just ....is. smiley

You can use a utility that translates almost any text into the language you need https://www.smartcat.ai/blog/what-is-a-cat-tool/. I think it will be faster than constantly asking for a translation.
