Manchester City players have poured out their tributes to former assistant, Mikel Arteta.

Arteta has moved on after two years at the Etihad Stadium under studying Pep Guardiola to become the head coach of Arsenal.

He reportedly signed a three years deal with the North London outfit as he takes over from Unai Emery who was fired due to poor results last month.

After Emery was fired as manager, Freddie Ljungberg took over as the interim manager and assisted by Per Mertesacker.

Arsenal travel to face Everton on Saturday afternoon in the early kick off.

It has been learnt that Freddie Ljungberg will be incharge of the game as Mikel Arteta is expected to resume duty as the coach on Sunday 22nd December 2019.
Arteta won the Premier League (twice) FA CUP and League Cup while he was an assistant at Manchester City.

He captain Arsenal to lift the FA CUP back in 2016.
