When a vehicle is as popular as the Tesla Cybertruck, it is only a matter of time before its “knock-offs” begin to emerge. It did not take long before someone in Russia decided to create his own version of the truck.

A video posted online shows what looks like Elon Musk’s vehicle. But the difference is, this one is not manufactured by Elon Musk.

How do we know so?

For starters, production of the popular Cybertruck will not start until 2021, and several other models will be manufactured the following year, 2022. Also, if there should be any other model of the truck apart from the one owned by Tesla boss Elon Musk, it should be in the United States, not in Russia. This particular vehicle spotted the city of Khimki in the western part of the country has a Russian number plate.

As the vehicle moves on the road, it drives past a police official who could not care less about. This is surprising because the Tesla truck always commands attention even in the United States where it is manufactured, and being driven around town by Musk.

The identity of the lookalike truck driver and the material it was created with are unknown.

Russians could not wait till 2021 to have the famous car on their road. They chose to create theirs instead. Talk about moving into the future.
