It’s been a phenomenal year for the African Giant, Burna Boy, and he’s wrapping it up by claiming the top spot on the MTV Base highly debated Top 20 List.The singer who won both a BET and an MTV EMA this year is number one on the Hottest Nigerian Artistes of 2019 List released by MTV Base on the network’s annual Roundtable show hosted by Ehiz.

This year as always, Ehiz was joined by a number of industry heavyweights who served as panelists on the show. They included, Moët Abebe, N6, DJ Big N, Alex Hughes, The Awazi, Akinizzle and Hypeman Shody.Closely following Burna at number 2 is Davido, who has also had a major year with the release of the mega hits, ‘Blow My Mind’ and ‘Risky’ – both from his critically acclaimed sophomore album, ‘A Good Time’. But the hits weren’t the only reason Davido took the number 2 spot. The panelists sited his tours around the world, collaborations and the success of his artistes as part of the reasons he deserves the spot.Davido is followed by Zlatan at number 3, Naira Marley at 4 and Wizkid at 5.
