Yes I have been to the north a couple of times
and I battle depression whenever I leave
Beside the few places politicians and the rich live, every other place suffers from grinding poverty. Health centers in rural north is non existent. The youths now drive Okada in the SW, others just want to escape the grinding poverty!

Brother, a nation's strength is the human resources. Despite all the North has cornered in her favour, yet they enjoy all the negative indices. With all the roads in the North, why are they hungry, poor, illiterate and backward?

Don't be deceived, North don't have the human capacity to develop for now, because the higher number of the population are ravaged by poverty and Illiteracy.

Let's agree that the media paints a bad picture of the North.

We in the south look around us and what do we see? People from the North and countries to thr north of Nigeria are the ones doing most menial jobs - from cobbling to water-carrying to okada riding to manning gates. If the North were such a paradise, why are these people still rushing down here in droves?

Which Sokoto are you talking about? How big is the city, how many excellent roads do they have connecting the entire city? I get your point bro, but no, Sokoto doesn't have enough roads. They usually don't build drainage for their roads which mostly connect only major areas.

They have good roads but not as many as you would need or see in other major cities in the South of Nigeria.

Now you have concluded Makinde's fate before he even started. Are you God? Speak intellectually with facts, not conjectures.

In Agriculture,the north feeds the nation by providing yam,beans,maize,corn,gnut, cowpea and so many other farm products.She also provides the vegetables which include tomatoes, onions,ginger, pepper etc.Talk of meat and you see the cows,goats and rams being taken to the south daily.See below the GDP breakdown


Agriculture: 21.1%
Industry: 22.5%
Services: 56.4%

In view of the above,3 hydro power alone comes from the north and the 4th and 5th are being built again.I don't think it's right to say the north does not have imput.If the solid Minerals in the north will be exploited,u can imagine how rich Nigeria will be.

Stop lying, yam and maize is not a Northern crops unless u are talking of middle belt states, core northern state are not fertile, you cannot do farming in kebbi and sokoto and get good yelding without lots of fertilizers.

You should also google Nigeria power generating stations, there are about 30 of which majority of them are gas plant. So don't think we depend on those hydro plant which are situated in middle belt.

I don't need to travel, there were 3 aboki lecturer in my department, 2 of them were Dundee who only got employed through quota system.
One inside was so dumb our hod didn't allow him to lecture, one inside was pretty intelligent but had problem communicating with us because of his accent.

I have leaved in the north for one yr, for every 1 literate northerner there are 5000 thousand illiterates.

I responded to the rebutal that says the north
does not contribute anything.Look back at the write up again.Arent you educated enough to know that middle belt is in northern Nigeria?
Well you should know that the northern Nigeria consist of 19 states which consists of three geographical zones(NE,NC,NW) including the middle belt you mentioned.Nigerian per capita generation is about 7000MGW of which the three hydro stations give about 3,300mgw.

I just can't understand the kind of CJN we have in this country,instead of making comment on issues that will broaden national unity, he is busy talking about sharia law....it's like asking every schools in the country to put a sign post of the Lord's prayer on the entrance of the gate...dat will definitely spark fire in the North...
