Egbabor supports 10 pwds, 30 indigent women in Isoko North

The Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor has supported persons with disabilities and indigent women traders in the local government area with cash gifts.

The chairman who gave out a total of N500,000 to 10 disabled persons with N20,000 each and 30 indigent petty women traders with N10,000 each drawn from the 20 state wards of Isoko North, said the cash support was part of his administration’s effort to put smile on the faces of persons with disabilities and indigent women traders.

Speaking during the presentation, Egbabor said the cash gift to the 40 various persons is in line with his government’s efforts to support these category of people who need one help or the other in their various trades and businesses in the society.

The Chairman, who was represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Mr. Kome Ozue said the council will continue to do more in assisting the disabled persons and indigent women within the local government area.

Responding on behalf of the persons with isabilities, Mr Simeon Ikuta, expressed happiness over the support the chairman has given to them as it will go a long way in assisting their various businesses, promising to give support to the Local Government Area in any area they can.

Mrs. Adiavano Dada who spoke on behalf of the indigent women commended Egbabor for touching the lives of the needy in the local government. “We didn’t expect this as we were called upon to come to the council and to our surprise we got cash support.

“we are grateful and God will reward the chairman and his team for this great gift especially this period. To us N10,000 cash gift is not small amount as an indigent or petty trader."
