Nigeria is a giant of Africa, yes! But we have not been able to prove to the entire continent and the world that, we actually deserve to be called one. On policies, governance and rule of law, Nigeria had been so low-rated in the last five years. It's even appalling to note that, the youths and supposed leaders of tomorrow, who ought to have condemned the acts of the federal government would take sides with them in the name of sentiments.

Sowore and Bakare were detained but court granted them bail more than once. Instead of our national assembly, the judiciary headed by the CJN who is supposed to understand what the law is all about, the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice and the SANs serving at various capacities in the buhari-led administration including the human rights activist in person of Festus Keyamo to voice out against the continued detention and subsequent invasion of court ( which has never happened in the Nigeria history) , they all kept mute as if the action of the DSS was in order. I wonder what Keyamo would be telling us tomorrow after the administration under which he's serving comes to an end as a human rights activist. Nigeria is greater than anyone and that's why no single person could remain in government for life. Soldiers go and soldiers come, barracks would forever remain, as the adage says.

What the American intervention in our political and legal system teaches us is simple. We cannot still do anything right as a nation, even though we understand what it means to do so.

Our leaders, instead of being people oriented, they are rather power-drunk and care less if the country plunges into chaos because they are all diplomatic Visa holders. It suggests to me Americans believe our leaders are our worst enemies and so, cannot be trusted .
Some of our politicians are also citizens of western countries so , they could jet out at the slightest opportunities

The recent press release by Garba Sehu and Femi Adesina were a clear indication that our politicians do not care about the masses. They are also making us believe that all they've been telling us from day one was nothing but a bunch if lies. Amazingly, they don't hide it anymore....they don't give a damn as GEJ once said when asked to declare his assets by the same people who voted him into power.

What our government is doing is nothing but setting bad precedents for the posterity. Unfortunately, the people who are supposed to set the pace for the posterity are the same who are in support of their acts of lawlessness...what a pity undecided I still don't know what the countries in Africa would learn about us, the giants of them all, politically, legally and what have you. Everyday they give us conflicting information about the fight against the insurgency. If boko haram invades and unleashes terror, even in the military camp victoriously, just 2 days later, the government would say scores of boko haram were killed, so Nigerians wouldn't rate them low.

I wouldn't be surprised if the government bowed to the American pressure to release the sowore, bakare and dasuki because they have been refusing our political leaders visa sevretely already, following the backlash of the recent occurrence because the USA promised our government would face consequences of the continued detention of those who willingly wanted to express themselves without carrying gun, on the way the country was headed and the non-challant attitude of the government to the masses.

If in any African country tomorrow, a gun man invades a court during a session to arrest, just the way the DSS did with the federal government's backing, how would Nigeria react to it? I felt so bad as a Nigerian the day this happened. The accused had not even started enjoying his bail after meeting all the set conditions 2 times and you're arresting him on the counts for which he was already granted bail which hasn't even taken effect? This is why our universities hardly make the best 500 list globally and this is going to affect our law graduates seeking employment outside. If the CJN, Minister of Justice and our SANs who passed through same system could keep quiet, then it would be assumed our lawyers were half-baked.

Until today's youths take the bull by the horn regardless of the tribe they belong by taking their destiny in their hands, they would continue to be stooges to the political leaders without guarantee of future hope, those who would do anything to stay in power, including buying time from God if possible( unfortunately God is righteous and He pays them back with all manners of health challenges ).

Best wishes to you all.
