Will you stop disgracing yourself online? Look at this one reasoning like little children?

Do you know that Moses is mentioned in Quran more than the 25 times Jesus was mentioned?

Do going by your logic, that means Moses is greater than Jesus?

You see that your argument is as flawed as the ramblings of a small baby

Sorry grin
U dont have knowledge of the quran. I will advice u leave the bible and read ur quran before ur sharia clerics will see u and cut ur hands. Let me educate u a little. JESUS CHRIST was mentioned 187 times (directly or indirectly ). The significance of Jesus in Islam is reflected in his being mentioned in the Quran in 93 verses with various titles attached such as "Son of Mary" and other relational terms, mentioned directly and indirectly, over 187 times.[2][6][7][8][8][9] He is thus the most mentioned person in the Quran by reference; 25 times by the name Isa, third-person 48 times, first-person 35 times, and the rest as titles and attributes.

Caveat: I don't post this (copy and paste) to disrespect the religion of Islam or it's followers.
I post to show that if you throw mud at others, you get your own hands dirty.

My main point is: whether you believe Mohammed is the true messenger of God or Jesus Christ is the true messenger, DID YOU GET THE MESSAGE?

Quran is the principle text of Islam and one of the three sources from which the Sharia law is cast. The Quran (also spelled Koran or Qur'an) was dictated from 609 to 632 AD by Muhammad and compiled after he died.

The most sensitive issue with the Quran concerns errors. Muslims claim the Quran is infallible and error-free, while others claim the Quran has errors.

Are there errors in the Quran?

The Quran does have errors. Some of the errors in the Quran are self-contradictions that Naskh tries to bridge. But Quran also has historical and archaeological errors, as well as errors in mathematics and logic. For example, the Quran states that one night, Allah took Muhammad to "al-Aqsa" mosque in Jerusalem:

"Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa ..." - Quran 17:1

The Muslim army captured Jerusalem in 637 AD and al-Aqsa mosque was buit in the early 8th century. The problem with the above claim in the Quran is that Muhammad died before the Muslim army even reached Jerusalem and decades before al-Aqsa mosque was built (for details, see al-Aqsa Mosque).

Or consider Quran 20, which claims that Moses confronted "Aaron" and a "Samaritan" for having made the golden calf for the Israelites while he (Moses) was on Mount Sinai:

"[Moses] said, "O Aaron, what prevented you, when you saw them going astray, from following me? Then have you disobeyed my order?" [Aaron] said, "O son of my mother, do not seize [me] by my beard or by my head. Indeed, I feared that you would say, 'You caused division among the Children of Israel, and you did not observe [or await] my word.'" [Moses] said, "And what is your case, O Samaritan?" - Quran 20:92-95

Assyria conquered the Jewish northern kingdom in 722 BC, exiled its upper class and brought in conquered people from other lands who intermarried with the lower class Jews who had been allowed to stay. Their offspring were called "Samaritans" ("Samiri" or "Samarians" in some translations of the Quran) because they occupied the region of "Samaria," named after its original owner, "Shemer" (see 1 Kings 16:24 in the Bible). The Jews despised the Samaritans both for being a mixed race and for setting up their own temple to compete against the temple in Jerusalem.

But the golden calf incident near Mount Sinai mentioned in Quran 20:92-95 above took place in 1446 BC, which was 725 years before the first Samaritan was born in 721 BC.

It gets worse. Here is what the Quran says about Mary, the mother of Jesus:

"Then she brought [Jesus] to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented. O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste." - Quran 19:27-28

"And Mary, the daughter of Imran, who guarded her chastity, and We breathed into (her body) of our spirit; and she believed in the words of her Lord and of His revelations, and was of the devoutly obedient." - Quran 66:12

There are a number of "Mary" - also spelled "Maria" or "Miriam" in English - in the Bible. One of them is the mother of Jesus:

"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: after His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit." - Matthew 1:18

But the Mary who is the "daughter of Imran" (spelled "Amram" in the Bible) and the "sister of Aaron" was the sister of Moses who lived in the 15th century BC:

"The name of Amram's wife was Jochebed the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt; and to Amram she bore Aaron and Moses and their sister Miriam." - Numbers 26:59

Therefore, unless Mary was 1,500 years old when she bore Jesus (see how old was Mary when she had Jesus?) - indeed, unless Joseph married a 1,500 year old virgin - Muhammad mistook two different women in the Bible as the same Mary.

Why does the Quran contain such glaring errors?

The Qur'an states that it is a perfect book preserved on tablets in heaven (Surah 85:21-22). If the Qur'an is a perfect book from Allah, then there shouldn't be any contradictions in it. Of course, the Muslims will deny any contradictions exist in the Qur'an, but they do. Some of the contradictions below could be debated, but some of them are clearly contradictions.

A contradiction occurs when one statement on a subject excludes the possibility of another. The first one here is a good example. In Surah 19:67, it states that man was created out of nothing. In 15:26, man is created from clay. Since clay is something, we have a contradiction since "nothing" excludes the possibility of "clay." Both cannot be true.

All quotes from the Qur'an, unless otherwise specified, are from Yusuf Ali and can be found at the Qur'an online.

What was man created from: blood, clay, dust, or nothing?

"Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood," (96:2).
"We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape, (15:26).
"The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was," (3:59).
"But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing?" (19:67, Yusuf Ali). Also, 52:35).
"He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! (16:4).
Is there or is there not compulsion in religion according to the Qur'an?
"Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things," (2:256).
"And an announcement from Allah and His Messenger, to the people (assembled) on the day of the Great Pilgrimage,--that Allah and His Messenger dissolve (treaty) obligations with the Pagans. If then, ye repent, it were best for you; but if ye turn away, know ye that ye cannot frustrate Allah. And proclaim a grievous penalty to those who reject Faith," (9:3).
"But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful," (9:5).
Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued," (9:29).
The first Muslim was Muhammad? Abraham? Jacob? Moses?
"And I [Muhammad] am commanded to be the first of those who bow to Allah in Islam," (39:12).
"When Moses came to the place appointed by Us, and his Lord addressed him, He said: "O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me, that I may look upon thee." Allah said: "By no means canst thou see Me (direct); But look upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then shalt thou see Me." When his Lord manifested His glory on the Mount, He made it as dust. And Moses fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: "Glory be to Thee! to Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe." (7:143).
"And this was the legacy that Abraham left to his sons, and so did Jacob; "Oh my sons! Allah hath chosen the Faith for you; then die not except in the Faith of Islam," (2:132).
Does Allah forgive or not forgive those who worship false gods?
Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is to devise a sin Most heinous indeed," (4:48). Also 4:116
The people of the Book ask thee to cause a book to descend to them from heaven: Indeed they asked Moses for an even greater (miracle), for they said: "Show us Allah in public," but they were dazed for their presumption, with thunder and lightning. Yet they worshipped the calf even after clear signs had come to them; even so we forgave them; and gave Moses manifest proofs of authority," (4:153).
Are Allah's decrees changed or not?
"Rejected were the messengers before thee: with patience and constancy they bore their rejection and their wrongs, until Our aid did reach them: there is none that can alter the words (and decrees) of Allah. Already hast thou received some account of those messengers," (6:34).
"The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfillment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all, (6:115).
None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?" (2:106).
When We substitute one revelation for another,- and Allah knows best what He reveals (in stages),- they say, "Thou art but a forger": but most of them understand not," (16:101).
Was Pharaoh killed or not killed by drowning?
"We took the Children of Israel across the sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them in insolence and spite. At length, when overwhelmed with the flood, he said: "I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit (to Allah in Islam). (It was said to him): "Ah now!- But a little while before, wast thou in rebellion!- and thou didst mischief (and violence)! This day shall We save thee in the body, that thou mayest be a sign to those who come after thee! but verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Signs!" (10:90-92).
Moses said, "Thou knowest well that these things have been sent down by none but the Lord of the heavens and the earth as eye-opening evidence: and I consider thee indeed, O Pharaoh, to be one doomed to destruction!" So he resolved to remove them from the face of the earth: but We did drown him and all who were with him," (17:102-103).
Is wine consumption good or bad?
O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,--of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper," (5:90).
(Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord. (Can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell forever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (to pieces)?" (47:15).
Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss: On Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a sight (of all things): Thou wilt recognize in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss. Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed," (83:22-25).

Contradictions full everywhere in what you believe to be infallible but the essence of the message might just be more important!

For Christianity, Jesus Christ Himself is the central figure while in Islam the Qur'an is central.
The Bible is a record of events inspired by God and recorded by several witnesses while the Qur'an is said to be the perfect word dictated by Allah himself.

ezo4fta:

Still doesn't make any sense... If Jesus's name was mentioned more than The Prophet, it still doesn't mean he's the greatest.

how does someone even use this logic? because someone's names is mentioned more makes him greater?

The name of the devil "Shaytan" is mentioned more than some Prophets in the Quran. does that make the devil greater or better than them?

And by the way, lemme tell you something.

The Quran is just one part of revelation. The hadeeth is the second part. Both are revelations from God.

And the hadeeth/Sunnah itself are the sayings of the Prophet inspired to Him from God and his deeds. And there are thousands of authentic narrations narrated from him.

So that means, in the hadeeth which is the second part of Islamic revelation, Prophet Muhammad constitutes most of the subject.

So if we combine the first part of revelation (Quran) and the second part (Hadeeth) to form the whole Islam (Shariah), the name Muhammad and accounts of his life appear far far far far far more than Jesus (peace be upon him).

Oya how about that? grin

You are the foolish one!

What does compound words have to do with numbers?

If the bible was written in Hebrew or Greek originally and in that hebrew bible, what's there is the number "three". If it's translated to English, should it not then remain number 3? what's so compound about numbers?

If numerals or numbers are translated from one language to another, should they not remain the same?

in the second one I quoted, in one verse it says 3 and in another it says 7... is there not a different between 3 and 7? Is that not how it is in the original bible that was translated? what's so compound about numerical figures that will make them change when translated? 3 is 3... 7 is 7.. grin

in the third one, one verse says 42 another says 22.. is there not a difference...

in fourth one, one verse says 18 another one 8..

what's so "compound" about all these?

The numerals are different simple..

And that's even just five.

There are 96 more that I have for you... should I bring them? grin

Why do you involve in argument with these people na, don't u know he has just succeeded in dragging you down to his level? Just let them be with their beliefs, you are not the holy spirit, u cannot change their minds, you will only be giving them what they want- which is breaking down the scripture in their own canal understanding and this alone will make a feeble mind fall. Please next time desist from arguing with these people. Just say what you have to say and leave. If they like let them insult your generation, keep mute, that will only show how pained they are.

You see how foolish you are? You think you have sense?

Any historian worth his salt will know that the bible was not originally written in English, the ancient texts used to compile the Bible was from different languages.

If you can’t see the similarities in what you just posted, look again. Literal translation of some compound words that represent the same thing in different languages always differ when translated.

Very foolish and unwise fellow he is...You even have time to respond to him after copying and pasting what he found online...

Oya how about that? grin

U are not getting it ur so call holy quran called JESUS CHRIST the prophet of GOD so why are u guys against christianity? Or is it dat u guys don't believe the quran. The name Prophet Mohammed is not inside My only Bible because he is not relevant. And also it is clear from the quran that the bible existed before prophet Mohammed copied some part to form the quran. How about that?

I just want to lay an emphasis that might not be right....
We all know Kaka is a footballer right? A Christian also right? So, If Kaka decides to wake up one day and go pose in the front a Mosque smiling, Would we his Christian brethren criticise him? We can never say he's going against Christianity ethics simply because he's trying to embrace his religious counterparts coz that doesn't justify anything that his faith is being shackled! But if Salah should pose in the front a Church then some Muslim folks will be ready to behead him since common 'Christmas Tree' have started pissing them off(It's Crazy). I've started taking 'Some' Muslims unlikely since I noticed they don't seem to felicitate any celebration with us the Christians, But we are ready to jolly 'Eid' with them like 'It's Normal'
Some people's Religious Biology is sending them to Hell and they don't know, It's a Pity.

WHY?
Let's embrace ourselves and let love lead over religion. Christianity and Islam is the two best religion I've seen. I don't know about Buddhism or Atheism or any shit coz I don't give a Fabout those things!

SHALOM.

Wait for your answers.
In Israel 1,100,000 were found and 500,000 in Judah.
In the second book, 800,000 were found in Israel and 470,000 in Judah.
If you read through the Bible without lifting passages out of context, I think you would see the complementary figures.
Read 1Chron 27:1-15 and 2Chro 1:14 to see the 288,000 and 12,000 soldiers that were chosen soldiers. 800,000+288.000+12,000=
1,100,000
Now to 470,000 and 500,000
There was a chosen army of 30,000 in 2Sam6:1. If you read the accounts well, it is said that the number from 2 tribes was not included.
470,000+30,000=500,000
What you don't understand is the perspectives of writers. The accounts were not written by one person. One focused on events in Judah and the other on Israel.
It takes great mental stamina to read the bible.
What you think is an error will disappear when you study character, theme, setting, prevailing circumstances, etc. Great Literature students can relate to an extent.
You never believed there could be a reconciliation
of these 2 verses. Did you?

Baba leave that one! When you read to point out errors, that all you'll be seeing - errors. It'll be hard to discuss anything reasonable with such an individual.
