They use the same main camera sensor albeit the RN8 has more camera sensors like the Ultrawide (Important) and Macro not found on the RN7

Ultrawide like the name is used to fit more details into the frame, it offers a wider field of view than the main sensor but less detailed. Though flagships tend to offer better Ultrawide lens.

Macro like the name goes help you to capture you little things and make them seem big.

Recently updated it to Pixelcam 5.4

Yeah, I also used the stock camera for the same shot.

GCam produce the best outcome with less MB used for storage.

There is this particular Nikita I have with specialised Libraries. I don't have the link but I have the file on Telegram with configs.

As for Pixelcam it should be pixelcamX or fuse.
