The main point I'm trying to make is that we should be earning way above this. If a typical lawmaker is earning millions in wages and allowances but is finding it difficult to pay a fellow struggling man the sum of 30 thousand. I'm talking general here; don't mistake me for a tribalistic person.

Ofcourse 30k is not even up to $100, so it's meagre. But it is a step up from the previous minimum wage.

Despite it been meagre, many states are yet to agree to pay it so if any state assents to pay 30k, we see it as a step in the right direction. Hopefully, in coming years it gets an upward review.

PERSONALLY it's just so sad for me that we are still living like this. I don't owe anybody any apology for wanting and demanding more. But just as you say; it is what it is.
