Symptoms may be mild, moderate, severe, or profound. A patient with a mild Hearing impairment may have problems understanding speech, especially if there is a lot of noise around, while those with moderate deafness may need a hearing aid. Some people are severely deaf and rely on lip-reading to communicate with others. It's logical that with hearing loss, people perceive the speech of other people more difficult. People just might not hear what the person is saying and therefore not understand it. Two years ago, my grandfather started losing his hearing. We bought him a hearing aid, but it's too inconvenient and we have been looking for a solution to this problem for a long time.
