The business development manager/ account manager will identify sales leads, pitch goods or services to new clients and maintain a good working relationship with new contacts for our company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work closely with the units to build relationships with potential clients by seeking out their needs and Explaining to potential customers about the various benefits offered by our company products or services; following them up to close the business deals.
• Acquire new business accounts, through networking and outreach target at potential clients, engage in market research in order to identify new opportunities for business.
• Strategize new approaches for attracting clients and making sales in a B2B context and in environments outside of your typical sales regime, Track new markets and emerging trends, recommends new products and services, proposes and develops new strategic partnerships, writes proposals and plans, and guides long-term objectives to meet business needs and requirements.
• As a Business Development/ account Manager, you must constantly seek new opportunities and respond to the demands of business competitors and client’s environment.
• You will be expected to service the needs of existing customers ensuring all aspects of their needs is being met and develop any opportunities arising.
• Work alongside the unit head to develop business proposals for existing and new customers.
• Develop innovative strategies for retaining clients; this includes undertaking interviews in order to get feedback and incorporate it into the growth plan.
• Performs other job-related duties required or assigned by the Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS and skills required for the role of a Business Development manager
The business development/ account manager officer must be analytical thinker and can analyse opportunities in business.

Educational qualification: have at least a bachelor’s degree in any field related to business. Any experience of working in a related field or company would be of great benefit.

Networking skills: He/she should have the ability to build and maintain relationships and contacts in and outside the company
- Adept presentation skills.
- Adept use in Micro soft office suites word, excel and PowerPoint.
