Their salary is far better than professor salary, some professors salary is not up to 500k. Beside, if this is truly the salary structure, all Generals should be tried for corruption. Don't ask me why please.

Very typical of naija people. They don't really analyze things before commenting.

Graduates don't even earn up to 50k I'm some states.

People saying the salary is too small as if you earn more than a staff sergeant. So the Nigerian military is to pay 1 million on 10 privates and use all our tax money on paying soldiers? By the way, serving in the military comes with lots of benefits including housing, training, trips allowance, etc. If you don't want government to pay you, go start your own business.

Many of them don't know.

I don't see how that's poor. They get free accommodation (barracks), kids of military parents in schools like command pay about 12k per term compared to 75k and above paid by civilian parents. Free medicals and lots more.. so how is that salary small? It's even too much if you ask me..

Thank you, as if the power they have already isn't enough. Joining law enforcement is purely about service and not to enrich oneself. I think the pay is okay considering other numerous unlisted benefits

Why are govs,reps and president not earning the minimum wage?Why must it be the hardworking individuals that earns peanuts while the lazy ones who happens to be politicians earn fat salaries.If it not that the army officers are cutting from the rank and file and misappropriating funds for the military they won't be earning that much too.

Generals earn almost a million, captains and the other commissioned officers earn pretty high, just by sitting in their offices or comfort zones and dishing out orders. The real soldiers are those on battlefields risking their lives daily. The least paid soldier should earn nothing less than 150k. I rest my bleeping case.

Thats why its good to go to the University so you can be commisioned.
