Looking more like an uncultivated bush than a farm.

You don't know anything about farm or farming.
If that farm is a yam farm solely, at this time of the year when the last set yams are being harvested there are already grown shrubs like it is that those pictures. These are allowed to continue to grow into full bush for the land to fallow and recover over a set number of years as the farm can allow before he comes back to re-cultivate the land.
