A Nigerian police attached to a bank for security situated at Ekeki axis of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, has reportedly shot to death a serving individual from the Nigeria Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Monday evening.
The policeman was said to have additionally shot a Peace Mass transport driver, leaving him severely injured.
The incident occurred on January 6, 2020. The policeman, connected to the commerical bank in Yenagoa, had a quarrel with a driver of a commercial transport over stopping rights. As indicated by reports, the Peace Mass transport driver stopped at the front of the bank to drop off travelers, after landing from Abakaleki. Following the scene, incensed Nigerians started vandalization of properties at the bank premises in a backlash assault.
The Bayelsa Police Command has captured the Police Mobile Force (PMF) faculty on doubt of Discreditable Conduct and Unlawful Use of his Firearm. He was captured on the order of the State Commissioner of Police, CP Uche Anozia, and is right now in confinement at the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department.
