Famous Nigerian musician, Orezi, is demanding the sum of ₦100 million from taxi service company Bolt as compensation for injuries sustained from a road crash aboard their vehicle in December 2019. The accident which occurred on Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos left the singer with severe injuries including a broken jaw.

According to Orezi, 33, he was on his way to catch a Delta-bound flight at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on December 6, 2019, being driven by a Bolt driver, when he was involved in the accident.

A letter has been served by Lawyers of the “Rihanna” crooner, demanding that Bolt pays for damages caused by the incident. They claim that their client suffered death scare, income loss, hardship, and hospital treatment expenses.

Part of the document read thus:

“Our client, therefore, demands the sum of 100 million Naira as damages for death scare, medical bills, downtime and lost income occasioned by the reckless and negligent acts of the bolt driver.

“You have 7 working days from the receipt of this letter to pay the stated sum of N100, 000,000.00 (One Hundred Million Naira) to our client, failing which we will institute the necessary court action to recover the sum.”

The taxi company, Bolt, had not responded to their demands at the time of filing this report.
