The price for a price of plantain bunches varies according to the prevailing season. In the rainy season, the price is usually a bit low. But in the dry season, the price of bunches of plantain is usually very high. The reason for a price fluctuation with plantains is that during the rainy season many rain-fed farmers grow plantains massively and they harvest their produce at about the same period to meet the needs of the ever-hungry market.

Your one acre plantain farm could have about 1000 plantain trees. And these should be able to produce 1000 bunches of plantain.
Let's do some bit of Math, here:
If you sell off one plantain bunch for N800, you would generate (N800 X N1000).
The result is N800, 000. You earn N800, 000 tax-free straight into your bank account for farming plantains.The important thing you should do is to successfully repeat the process every time you have exhausted your stock.

It is important for you to secure your plantain farms by some means. This helps to prevent invaders who might have a criminal intention. Very commonly, plantain farmers the use of guinea fowls.
