The AFRICOM colonialist attempts have been adversely received by Africans from the outset. Moreover, its poor planning, unrealistic timelines and a failure to properly communicate to Africans about its missions brought about serious concern even back in 2009 by the experts in contemporary security policy.

What the organization is in fact doing is providing military and financial aid to the dictatorship regimes on the continent, waging wars, spreading violence, death and destruction. Its past history of military interventions in Iraq only proves that the country is eager to go to extremes to get what is desired – unlimited access to resources the African countries may offer in abundance.

The nature of AFRICOM work, no matter how skillfully it is hiding its true intentions will always be visible by those residing in those countries. The unfortunate part is that they have got no real voice, some of them do not even have resources nor courage to speak up and tell the world of their grievances. If they were to raise their voices over the AFRICOM silence and indifference, its brutal mechanisms would be hunting down those who dare to confront them

My family has suffered like no other from those military big shots who just need their contracts signed as a bottom line and if a couple of lives will perish behind those lines, they will not even bat an eyelid.

AFRICOM is an ultimate threat to the continent’s security and independence.
