December 6, 2010 The Reality of Hell By Michael Youssef, Ph.D. There was once a preacher by the name of Peter Cartwright. One morning before Cartwright was to preach, he was told that General Andrew Jackson was going to be in the service and was asked not to say anything to offend him. When Cartwright got up to preach, he said: "I am told that General Andrew Jackson is in the congregation. Andrew Jackson will go to hell if he does not commit his life to Jesus Christ." People were aghast. But after the service was over, Jackson approached Cartwright and shook his hand, saying, "If I had 100 men like you in my regiment, I could take on the world." Satan does not want to hear preachers talking about the lake of fire. He does not want people to be told that unless they repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, they will spend eternity in hell with Satan. In Matthew 25:41, Jesus teaches about the reality of hell. He warns that hell is an eternal separation from God. It is a place of impenetrable darkness, uninterrupted pain, and unquenchable fire. He also warns that those who reject Him will spend eternity there. The lake of fire was created by God to be the eternal destination of Satan and his fallen angels. When Adam sinned against God, his destiny changed, along with the destiny of mankind. He no longer had access to the presence of God. However, the Lord, in His infinite grace, provided a sacrifice for Adam's sin. Today, through Christ, God has provided a way for our sins to be eradicated. When you confess your sin and accept Him as your Lord and Savior, your eternal destination changes from hell to heaven. Rejoice in the Lord, for He has been good to you. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called (1 Timothy 6:12). www.leadingtheway.org |

O common poster, dont be such silly. Have you heard of the term BIBLICAL or SCRIPTURAL BACKING? now let me correct some of your erroneous thinkin. 1. Every body will go to hell, wether good or bad and its never a place of torment for sinners but the common Mankind Grave (i.e normal grave ), to back this claim open and read the book of eclessiatics 9 vs 4 - 9. To also back this claim y not read Acts 2 vs 34 which clearly states that Jesus christ went to Hell. Now if Your Jesus christ who you claim to be a very perfect being should go to hell, then who will not go to Hell? Besides it means hell is not a place for enternal torment but just the mankind Grave. GO READ AND CROSS CHECK YOUR BIBLE TIMES AND TIMES WITHOUT NUMBER, THE BIBLE NEVER SAID HELL IS A PLACE OF ETERNAL TORMENT. 2. While cross checking your bible you will find out that the word HELL FIRE DOES NOT EXIST. when one die he dies, all his memory, thinking and thoughts perish. There is nothing like an immortal soul, the soul is mortal and its the body, Ezekiah 18:4 says so. Also the book of ecclesiatics also said so. I cant remember the actual chapter and verse. But i can look for it. If you need it. My piece of advice is dont let people deceive you with myths and legends or stories on Hell as a place of torment. Or that hell fire does exist. |

Also porter, let me make some more corrections to your errors. Note this that the bible verse you Quoted i mean matthew 25:41 never ever proved or said anything on hell as a place of torment. Before i go deep poster i will like to you to ask yourself the following questions .HOW Do i read the bible? Do i pick its literal meaning? Do i pick its figurative meaning ? Do i pick its symbolical meaning? now let me continue as i said. That verse Matthew 25 verse 41 never had a literal meaning but a symbolical meaning. By jesus using the term everlasting fire he meant Condemnation and not the So-called Hell fire, now let me back my claims biblically, for times without number you have seen how Your God punish people from time of Noah down to time of moses and so on. Now i will like to ask you that the death of the people who refuse listening to Noah, Sodom and Gomorah and others who were punished by God where they eternal or just temporary? Hmmmmm you may say temporary, well if you say temporary then you are wrong because they were its permanent. After the death of those people we never heard of them again. Now also talke experience from other people you will also notice that, now you may say i am giving you myths, legends and stories well open and read the book off 1 John 4:8 this bible tells us that God is love and anyone that love is off God, now let me ask you, will a man who loves people act in such a wicked and inhuman way? Of course no he will not so. Please from your bible it tells us God is kind and wicked so dont come here to paste about hell as a place of torment because its not. Thank you |

@Ymodulus: Which pastor blindfolded you or force-fed you with the doctrine that Jesus went to hell? If you must tell lies about the Bible, at least quote scriptures accurately. This is Acts 2:34 so what are you on about? For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said, "'The Lord said to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand |
