One of the things that makes Remembrance Day special for members of the Nigerian Legions (that is, ex-servicemen) and relatives of deceased soldiers is that this is that day that state governments fall over themselves to provide benefits to them. These are some examples.

(Note that Governor Wike had already provided scholarships to some children of deceased soldiers during last year's Remembrance Day.

They say he's a cultist but I like his charisma & the way he takes on the ruling party without fear. I guess we have to wait till 2023 and also hope he loses out to the opposition, before we can be sure he actually did right by Rivers State people...

May be Nigerians would now appreciate what Okorocha did for school pupils in Imo. For some reason, only few people praise him for it. In the case of Okorocha, he has been giving scholarships even beore he became a governor.

Wike needs to do more in Rivers.

But on whose capacity does he make such a huge donation? From his Pocket or his states money?

Yes what he did is good but we must still question the actions of our leaders in other for our country to move forward.

Lack of accountability is also on of the major problem of our country.

Governorship is like any other job. They are being elected (employed) to work and that's why they are been paid salaries.

Some of these our leaders they do so little in there various states. But in public they donate and throw money around, money from the states pocket. Money meant for the development of there state they use and spend they are in the church.

I just pray that one day. Just one day God will help and change the mentality of our people to know, understand from what's good for us in the long and in the short run.

We cant continue to play with the future of our generations yet to come cos of our selfish desires.


I know some people may not and will never understand me.

And you are welcomed to correct me in anyway.

But certainly I tell you. In the developed countrys, a Mayor, Premier or a President cant just go pick up mic and start throwing Millions here and there because they can.

I weep for my country.

In addition, let a Gorvanor in his capacity try throwing around Millions for his personal ego and recognition and watch the opposition party tell them the reason they should step down.

Is high time we as Nigerians stop praising people when they do the job they are been paid for.

In the developed word where people know and practised there right. They can go as far as shutting down the city in protest and demand they do there job or step down.

Let us stop acting like the Gorvanors or our leaders are doing us favours. Cos they are not.

Is there duty there responsible, we hold them accountable.

Until then corruption and undervelopment will remain in our land
