Haba! I no see Nigeria. Why na

The fact that Ghana, Kenya and Saudi Arabia are ahead of Nigeria on the list shows that the present administration has made some impact in the antigraft war, notwithstanding it was highly politicized and selectively limited to a number of unfortunate sacred cows. Therefore, one can say this is commendable.

But let's face it.

Does the fact that Saudi Arabia, Kenya and Ghana towers above Nigeria on the corruption index table means Nigeria is now better than the said countries? The answer is a big, phat regrettable NO.

None of those countries have epileptic power supply. God says let there be light, and there was light, even as I typed, in Saudi Arabia, Kenya and Ghana. But the Goverment of Nigeria and its polithiefcians says "there must be darkness".

The infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and Kenya are much better than what we have here in Nigeria, a place where some roads are commissioned without a single gravel on it, let alone being tarred.

The level of Nigeria's economic and infrastructural deficiency is beyond pathetic. Only God can help this nation.
