Men! It happened to me some years back. I just left the bank on a Saturday, and got into a bus heading home. Like three bus stops later, a van blocked the bus I was in and the police guys jumped out, shouting "where e dey?" I was wondering what the F was going on till they pointed at me and asked me to come out.
Apparently, they had seen me leaving the bank and assumed I went in to collect Western Union. I came out, and they started searching me, till they saw my government ID card (I was working for a part of the govt then). They apologized and left quickly. I was dazed for a couple of minutes. The night club should file a suit in court, they can also do it jointly with a civil society or human right organization. This is toxic for legitimate night club owners.
Stop being a sitting duck, go to court and get a perpetual injuction restraining EFCC from ever entering your office to effect arrests without warrant. Serve them a copy and paste a copy on the building of your office.
If they prove too stubborn, go to the court of public opinion and file a suit on online medium and newspapers if you can afford it. They are not supposed to arrest anyone without a petition except an officer is right there when the crime was committed.
I won't tolerate that kind of nonsense, doing business is hard enough in this country, having antagonist federal agencies making it tougher, even when you pay taxes should not tolerated.
