I remember the first time I got a flat screen TV. smiley
I had told my dad that I wanted to buy a TV and keep it in my room. He smiled and said OK. Maybe he thought I was joking

In the afternoon, I took a bike, went and bought an LG 32inch.... While on the bike, I kept smiling and I had to bend the TV side ways so that it could cover my face.

I was really happy.
Although it wasn't as huge as the one 55inch in the living room.

Me who had watched Nigeria fight Biafra and the kwaishokor that ensued had not had a telly since it ended and FESTAC was about to start. I tol ma, you either take me to go watch it live or we are getting a telly, "here's the money from my mangoes selling!" And on 14 January 1977 she took me to Alaba and I bought my first television.

It was black and white. Size didn't matter. At least those who claimed oyinbo rats talk could now watch Tom and Jerry talk in my living room.
