The Yoruba people are communal beings, with a high sense of affiliation towards one another, the exhibition of a strong sense of belonging because of their shared ancestral history.

This feature of the Yoruba people is quite evident among them as they choose to stick with one another through thick and lean, this feature which most arguably think is lost has come to play again in light of the recent development which has pervaded the south west region of Nigeria which has become an issue of national discourse.

The region in its bid to curb the numerous cases of insecurities which has pervaded the region created the Operation Amotekun which was designed to complement the activities of the Nigerian police in the region, while the operation has come under serious attacks and public scrutiny from people because of their various misconceptions about the details of the operation, which many leaders from the south west has risen to take their stand and support for the outfit.

it is only rational and logical for them to do so, they are not just in the sense of being loyal and patriotic to their root, they are also trying to ensure that they are on the right side of history, the security and the safety of their kinsmen has been compromised enough, now is the time to act.

In the midst of all this, it is quite disheartening to see a fellow son of the soil, whose family has it root and history in the southwest having come to seize the moment because of his political ambitions to castigate another who has chosen to set aside all political affiliations for the sole purpose of ensuring `the success of the operation.

Engr. Ife Oyedele, an APC Chieftain, also the Executive Director of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company stands guilty of the aforementioned. A supposed ally of the Governor of Ondo State who is meant to pull his weight with the Governor having chosen to go against the tide, the will and the yearnings of his kinsmen is quite a shameful thing to her heard of in the state.

While Engr. Ife Oyedele has not come out to make a stand for the support of the Amotekun outfit and has chosen to castigate the Governor for being at the fore front of the Operation which is aimed at ensuring the safety of everyone in the region which includes Engr Ife Oyedele and his family and relatives, we must ask where his allegiance lies, the Ondo State people or his political ambitions

The good sons and daughters of the sunshine state are peace loving people who will never turn their back at the sight of initiatives that is aimed at helping mankind, The people of Ondo State must be quite disappointed seeing a fellow son of the soil fail to defend his people, the people of Okitipupa must be very disappointed seeing one of their own choose to look the other way round when his people needed him.

The various youths within and outside the state who looks up to him as a role model must be pained at the realization of the fact that someone they had looked up for can be so cold heated and indifferent when his people needed him, choosing to put personal political ambitions over the safety of his people, the people he claims to love.

Posterity will be the judge of all, for the world suffers not because of the activities of evil men, but because of the silence of good men.

The moment the north succeeded in distracting the south west from making more progress in amotekun, through granting of endless interviews and keeping the west in heat, amotekun got sick.

The moment the north successfully painted amotekun with the colors of secession and bigotry, amitekun got worse.

The moment Tinubu dropped his pen after writing down his 'views' on amotekun issue, amotekun slipped into coma.

The moment gullible southwesterners who didn't even understand the write up took over with hailing and praising the jagaban over an opinion which they didn't even understand, amotekun died.

The moment southwestern governor's queued behind Tinubu's position, amotekun got cremated.

And when amotekun suddenly became a Yoruba Vs Igbo bickering and bantering and chest beating affair, amotekun's ashes were disposed. Carried by the wind far into the sea, as one of those small disturbances that happened during Buharis regime.

RIP Amotekun. Born 8th of January, 2020. Died 22nd January, 2020.

This amotekun is dead, but this article was just accusing without giving any instance of the so called betrayal. Exactly what one can call... Emotional, low quality, low budget image slandering.
