It was reported earlier this week, with a sad story of how Billionaire businessman, Late Ignatius Odunukwe was murdered, the headline which was trending on social media, investigations is ongoing and the killers who have already been arrested have given details on why they did the killing.
Based on reports, when the Odunukwe opened a real estate discussion with Danie Ibeaji late in 2019, the intention was to make it a profitable venture for both parties.

Little did Mr. Odunukwe know that the deal would have led to his dismissal.

Based on the deal which several millions of naira where put in place, both parties agreed to meet at a hotel in Lagos where all the paperwork were to be finalized.
Mr Odunukwe never made it back thus prompting his family to report his disappearance to the police.

The police immediately sprang into action and after three weeks of investigations, a shocking revelation was made.

A squad of killers was arrested by the zonal police and they confessed to murdering the businessman.

The four-man gang which includes Daniel Ibeaji, 42, Solomon Cletus, 30, Arinze Igwe, 26, and Israel Obigaremu, 35, also led security operatives to the location where they dumped the billionaire’s body.

Daniel Ibeaji the kingpin of the four-man gang that killed Mr Ignatius Odunukwe said on Tuesday that the lust for money led him to commit the murder.

The man didn't take many security precautions he should have been taking considering his financial status. It's rather unfortunate.

Some lessons to be picked from this :
1. Certain areas in lagos state and other states are no go area. If we are doing business, im only meeting you in my comfort zone. I have lived in lagos for years and knows almost all the crannies, NEVER will i be meeting anyone at Atican beach. That whole ogombo stretch is a den of never do wells. Atleast 3 e-hailing cab drivers has been killed on that axis.

2. He was selling a property of 900M and didnt use a reputable real estate firm to sell ? The killer said he saw the for sale note on the property, approached the security , security told Oga that someone is interested and he instructed the security to give them his direct contact.

God as you dey protect us so, give us wisdom to protect ourselves first.

Mr Odunukwe did not take security precaution and safety serious when he meet this guy alone. You don't do that! You need to go with one or two people at least, and why hotel? People should be smarter than criminals to survive Nigeria. Don't lower your guard so easily, no matter how desperate you are!
