LASSA FEVER OUTBREAKs no longer mean death sentence to the people of Ebonyi state, many thanks for the proactive measures taken by the indefatigable governor of ebonyi state by building the first and only virology centre in the whole of south east at Alex Ekwueme federal teaching hospital, Abakaliki.
Before the emergence of Engr Dave Umahi as the governor of Ebonyi state, it was the specialist hospital Irrua in Edo state that used to house the LASSA FEVER PATIENTS from Ebonyi state and other south eastern states. Mortality rate then was so high.
Thanks to the wonder working governor of Ebonyi state for taking the bull by the horn by building the ultra modern virology centre in federal teaching hospital Abakaliki.
Doctors without borders are currently managing the LASSA FEVER patients at the virology centre in Abakaliki.
LASSA FEVER is no longer dreaded in Ebonyi state.
