The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, the Commissioner for Public Utilities and Water Resources, Engr. Emeka Ezenwanne, Commissioner for Works, Engr. Marcel Ifejiofor and others are here to inspect the level of work done on the project.

The water pumping station is located around the Omabala river beside the Anambra's longest state bridge constructed by Gov. Willie Obiano at Aguleri. This first phase is expected to serve Aguleri, Umueri and Umuoba Anam communities respectively(5km) in Anambra East LGA.

Chief Obiano expressed happiness over the amount of work done so far and declared that the project will be commissioned this April.

Gov Obiano also Inspects Obizi-Uga Regional Water Scheme


Anambra State government has commenced work to resuscitate the Obizi-Uga Regional Water Scheme.

Governor Willie Obiano paid an inspection visit to the water source, Obizi, where it was disclosed that the facility which had been moribund for ten years, will commence operations by April, this year.

The project which spans fourty kilometer covers fourteen communities, and has eight over head tanks located in benefitting communities.

Commissioner for Public Utilities, Engineer Emeka Ezenwanne, among others, were part of the visit, while Traditional rulers and stakeholders in the local government area, were on ground to recieve the Governor.

Leave propaganda aside, this man hasn't done up to our expectations. We need a massive industrial revolution in Anambra. And yes, the human and material resources are available. Just proper management.
