If this is true then I can tell you app innovation in Nigeria is dead. The FirstBank app is full of too many flaws ranging from Money transfers to buying of calling cards!

Too many errors per say. Sometimes, you get error messages saying “Beneficiary Unavailable” yet funds have been sent!

Sometimes it is “FAILED” yet they will debit you and never ever refund it in 12 months time! I have one of too many transactions I did February 14th 2019, N8,500 and was debited 3 times! they refunded me on Jan 3rd or 4th 2020! Took them more than 11 months to refund!! Is this innovation in any sense?

FirstBank should improve on customer/consumer service delivery else, they will end up like EcoBank- A bank with no sense or direction!

The first bank mobile app is rubbish jawre.....

You have the best app, so?? Why get an award 4 it?? SMH

That awkward moment when you realize that your education has been a waste all along.

So, there's something wrong with rewarding technological innovations

In case you don't know...

Such awards serve a purpose. They serve to drive competition- healthy competition- amongst the financial institutions in the area of ICT and AI{I strongly doubt if you know what those acronyms actually mean}.

Firstbank winning this award will push its competitors to strive to create more innovative banking apps and as time goes on, we will all begin to feel the effect. In life, it is innovate, adapt, or die. Roger? That is how civilizations evolve. Competition. Those who get left behind die and get devoured by the more advanced.

I guess you don't know the corporate world is one huge competition where nothing is left to chance, do you?

Now, what are you, sir? A marketman?
