You are allowed to do whatever you want. But the truth be told. My mindset is like this because of my own experience. Just because a nurse has been working for 20 years before a newly graduated doctor just got an appointment and she's made to answer to him, that's the genesis of the doctor-nurse beef. Yes at that time she is more experienced than d young doctor, but where did she get d experience from? 'A senior doctor'. Give the doctor about a year, he has bridged the gap of 20 years experience. You know why? Because anyone can learn skills whether you go to med school of not. That's why nurses are replaceable with auxiliary nurses who just have a senior school certificate. The real problem is in pathology of disease and management. In this aspect a doctor is irreplaceable. How would you feel when during the course of training, you are made to cover all the aspect of the medicine, and your colleagues in nursing are exempted from a substantial aspect, because all they have to do is carry out the plan that has been written down by the doctor. Fast forward to practicing days, they(nurses) now agitate to be on the same salary scale as the doctor's. That is a demonic mindset. In fact if d gov ever succumb to that notorious idea, I bet all doctors will give up their certificate, and specialize in nursing. Let us see who wants to do the work of a doctor when the salary scale is the same with the other health bodies. It's as easy as ABC. You want to be the head, you meet up the requirements to be the head. If not the head, then give honour to who ever deserves it. So... You can stop puking too

I'm not trained to hate a patient because without them I'm jobless. Point of correction about your statement of quack doctors. Before one can qualify to be inducted and given the MBBS degree it means that one has met the requirements set by the MDCN (medical &dental council of Nigeria) to be a safe doctor in the sense that he knows what to do, what not to do, when to intervene, when not to, and when to refer. The so called quacks are either not doctors or medical students that might have failed out but still aspire to practice anyway.

The people that I argued for and against back in the day, are already consultants, NPs and senior colleagues in and outside the country.
