What's in Canada you people shout about. A country with massive landmass with a population of Lagos State. Great country, limited opportunities. People won't just tell you the truth about that country. The hype is too much. I continue to wonder about the obsession of modern Nigerian with Canada. The ignorance is baffling. |

1StopRudeness:The Op is referring to the recent obsession Nigerian now have with Canada. I think I get his message. Canada is good, no doubt but Nigerian opinion about the country now seems so exaggerated the when you put US side by side with Canada, 90 Percent will choose Canada and that is strange 2 Likes |
So if UK exits an economic bloc that they've been reliant on how will they sustaine their economy? Yeah they need alternatives, like dumb Africa. After one gets education, one must also get common sense The benefit is mutual. Uk was one of the biggest contributor to the EU. They rely on EU much as EU rely on them |
The only sensible comment I've read here this morning. Many do not seem to understand the likely consequences. US has said they would not support them after Brexit. Again, the technological know how is owned by the Germans. Many companies have moved out of the UK and the latter depends heavily on them to live. Agricultural produce coming from the EU through the Calais port would now be very expensive due to taxes and other charges. That is not all, what of human resources ? To hire a professional from the EU to continue the existing task wouldn't come cheap. I think the UK is as selfish as ever. I asked a Briton during the heat of the Brexit on wimpole street if he was happy about Brexit and he said nothing is permanent. They had to follow their leaders the way they did during privatisation which has worked so well that other countries are now embracing the model and if Brexit fails , they would have to come back to the EU, though at a heavy price. He said the main reason for the brexit is the influx of EU's citizens to the UK to pick their citizenship. He said once a refugee enters EU and he or she becomes a resident in any of the EUs, his/her final destination is the uk and because of the agreement, to become a citizen becomes pretty easy and this is taking it's toll on their economy and security already. I wish them good luck but the decision would shake them and I do not see any prospect therein. |

gypsey:tell me about it sir, I wanna know... Germany, Nederland, Italy were the founding fathers of EU... But the British made it what it is today... They influenced more nations to join the Union. I still stand to be corrected... cos Orientation no dey finish. |

Meaning? Read my previous comments, not d one I was attacking people. Some Nigerians are kind of dumb in my view. Educated but lacking in common sense. Someone said we don't understand how d economic bloc works because we look at it from an economic standpoint. But my argument is about the social impact. UK is leaving because of the social impact rather than economics, they know they'll lose at least in the short term until they figure out how to re colonise the dullards via investments. Per immigration no one wants Africans.. trust me, unless you are highly skilled, I don't see many highly skilled people in Nigeria. Even the FDI companies complain about lack of skills in needed areas 1 Like |

catoluy: Almost true except the last statement, where, if you think about it, the representative from UK make this possible, are you saying no ibo in the house of reps and senate, why are they not talking, agitation didn't do this, they went about it the right way. This is the lesson we should learn, learn from the yoruba, see how they came together form a regional police, there is no way the FG can stand against a whole region if they are in agreement, but no my people want to be rich, everyone want to make himself great. There is no way progress can come from a select group of people who can't come together to have collective purpose driven agenda, instead of chanting fire and brimstone we should look for loop holes in the constitution, get the entire lawmaker in the region to agree on a purpose, that alone can set everything on the right path. Have you imagined why the White won't support the claim or help in anyway to facilitate the move, because we are going about it the wrong way, how do you expect them to support you when all you do is disagree on everything, anoint a king as a saviour, no government will support anarchy simple, call it any name you want, I repeat no democratically elected government will support the creation of a state through anarchy! |

Kyllahmc:Britain didn't walk away from The EU, they just do not want a onesided relationship, Britian will still have a relationship with the EU only it would be on britain's terms. Not on the terms of some non elected bureaucratic EU Officials, who are sitting on high Salaried Lazy Money grabbing EU parliamentarian Jobs. 1 Like |

Nigsrdumb: The UK gets to save about £8.5b from EU membership fees, and exiting a single market entity will enable the UK to introduce tariffs along WTO rules, and medium scale business can now trade globally free from the rules and regulations of the EU. The Canada as well as several other non-EU countries will pickup the slack on account of innovative bilateral trade agreements. With almost 4 million foreign workers residing in the UK, immigration had always been an economic burden. Now the UK is free from the shackles of the EU when it comes to migration policies. The overwhelming reason for the UK leaving the EU is largely economic, be it trade, tariffs and immigration. Sense is good, but reason is better. |

Go and read about what Lord Luggard said about Afonjas having low IQ; that's why they are using you people and Fulani to promote One Nigeria...you cannot reason like a human being! By the way, IPOB created BSS way before your people thought of Amotekun. Your envy and wickedness made you people attack BSS but now wanting the same? You people lack foresight to see things before they happen. Just like we warned you about Buhari, you refused to listen. You have no shame. |
