As a Beginner, it's not compulsory to start with $50 dollars. As a new investor, you can choose to start with any brokerage of your choice, even up to the Company Brokerage which starts with $20,000 dollars. Most people I know are still in Associate Brokerage level which gives 40% ROI.

Beginner Brokerage starts with a minimum amount of N17,900 and a maximum amount of N178,642. That is $50 - $499. The naira exchange rate is N358. This simply means that you can invest any amount within this range.

Once the money reaches N179,000 which is equivalent to $500, you're automatically migrated to the Individual Brokerage.
