The defection of pro-Jonathan foot soldiers to the camp of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar continued yesterday, as national coordinator of Goodluck Jonathan Support Group, Wing Commander Peter Biakpra (retd) and state coordinators of the group joined the Atiku camp.

Some members of Move Nigeria Project had recently abandoned the Jonathan group to pitch tent with Atiku, who is also a presidential aspirant in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),
Addressing journalists in Abuja, Biakpra, from Delta State, described President Goodluck Jonathan, as inexperienced. He appraised the Jonathan administration and delivered a damning verdict.

He said: “The meteoric rise of this gentleman, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, though well greeted by us and many other Nigerians, left a mighty gap in experience, which has shown in governance for the past few months. The handling of the amnesty programme and the Niger-Delta Ministry, both initiated by the late President Umar Musa Yar’Adua in good faith, has left a lot to be deserved. Though one would expect that the president, having come from the zone, would find it easier to handle the situation, it has only proved more difficult.

“This was mainly due to the weakness of the inexperienced team surrounding the president. The increased spate of kidnappings and the attendant reprisal attacks by the Joint Task force (JTF) resulting in the total destruction of civilian population in some Ijaw communities go to show the ineffective handling of the Niger Delta crisis, not to mention the handling of the recent Independence Day bomb blasts.
“The economic team of the government has also revealed its inadequacies by the lack luster implementation of the 2010 budget and the depletion of the foreign reserve. The constant sourcing of the needless foreign loans is also worrisome. For the first time in Nigerian history, in the middle of December the next year’s budget is yet to be presented to the National Assembly for debate.

“The non-decisive character of the president, which most of us erroneously perceived as humility and loyalty, has made him all the more easy for manipulations by these not-so-experienced but ambitious and corrupt members of his team. This has also reflected in his floppiness in arriving at decisions and departing even quicker. Nigerians will not forget the banning and unbanning of NFA after the World Cup flop.
“It is therefore, unreasonable for anyone with the love of Nigeria at heart, to wish to extend this administration beyond May 29, 2011. This is because Jonathan, lacks the capacity to rule a great country like Nigeria.”
Receiving Biakpra and others at the Atiku campaign office, Alhaji Bashir Yusuf, deputy director-general of the campaign office, corroborated their perception on the lack of capacity of President Jonathan to deliver.

He said: “Truth has no geography; it doesn’t know North or South. Your presence here is a vindication of that fact. Here in the North, there are people who support Jonathan. We have nothing against him; we don’t hate him, or dislike him. We just disagree with him. Nigerians should tell us any achievement of President Jonathan since he assumed office. They should tell us his political experience or any election he has contested or won in his name.
“Our candidate, Atiku Abubakar won a governorship election in Adamawa and was a former presidential candidate. So, if you had decided to abandon the counterfeit for the original, you are in good company. We welcome you.”

Ashawo politicians are roaming from one  client to another without shame.

Maybe, enough dough isn't flowing to his office and feels Atiku who has stolen enough will be a better donor. To hell with Biakpra. angry

Let all progressive Nigerians come together and say no to PDP in 2011.Whether Atiku,GEJ or IBB all na PDP and they remain clueless in the ability and capacity to steer this country to glory.God bless Nigeria.

Jonathan still has 4 months to make a change by accepting to de-centralize power.I pray that he sees the reason and subsequent advantage of that.

This is the complete truth. In the end , and like a football game , it is all about how much Nigerians "want it" i.e It all boils down to how badly Nigerians want to escape the poverty and disgraceful prehistoric conditions PDP misrule has perpetuated throughout Nigeria.
