Hello Mr man, have you ever been to osun? Because I have and I live there and 95 percent are not Muslims... It's evenly distributed between both Christian and Muslims and little chunk of them are traditionalist
So get your facts right next time and stop spreading lies like your kanu who thinks they are descendants of Jews
Anything to belong
Isn't it better to be associated with the Jews than with the Zoo?

“Even when they rally and they ask their people to join them, the robbers among them will also join the rally. Rallies don’t stop crime… It is enough to tell the government to step up the fight against security, to step up the funding of security agencies but to hold rallies against insecurity means holding a rally against the government.”

This clearly implies that the government itself is the head and author of insecurity and that is why to hols a rally protesting heightened insecurity in the land is equated to rallying against the government. MURIC and co are in fact the religious arm of government always attempting to water-down glaring incidences of religious and ethnic cleansing against Christians that is why once the Christian body sounds a warning or raises an alarm, they are branded an opposition to the government.

Unfortunately CAN and very much the majority of non-northern Muslims fail to understand the reliugious-political climate they are experiencing these days

1: When the Children of Oduduwa decide to scream out in pain and protest, it is their own blood who will cover their mouths and borrow a dagger from the enemy to stab them. remember Afenifere (Tinubu-led) and MKO Abiola - guess which yoruba leader puncture the tyres of Amotekun before the truck even left the forest. Yorubas will always betray their own to the Fulani North, History is a patient mother.

2: The Northerner is a MUSLIM-FIRST! before a Fulani-Hausa, unfortunately the largely Yoruba-muslim dominated South-West are trapped by this mantra MUSLIM-FIRST before a child of Oduduwa. You see how the incessant assault of Yoruba ethos has been perpetrated using Islam.. by being MUSLIM-FIRST, the yoruba are sworn to fealty and allegiance to Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III (Sultan of Sokoto) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia not to the Oni of Ife or Oba of Lagos or any other Yoruba-titled Royalty. In FACT, they have Fulani-Hausa Islamic Leaders at the height of Obas in Oduduwa Kingdom as we speak - remember the Afonja debacle? (For History Students)

3: Nigeria is a MUSLIM STATE not a Secular State (Secularism is an abomination to the Muslim Faith) Secularism is a foreign, elitist, ambiguous and worldly concept in Islam. It is often associated with the discountenance of Islamic values from the legal and political matters under foreign colonial domination. Majority of Nigerian Muslims by way of Constitutional provision or Islamic Authority, reject secularism instead advocate for a return to Islamic law and Islamic political authority. President Muhamaddu Buhari has made his views on teh Islamic State and Sharia since the late 90s and is vociferously pro-sharia, pro-Islamic State.

In view of the above 3 points, i would like to submit the motion that "Full Conversion to Islam is the only remedy for religious crisis in Nigeria"

I weep for some of our Christian Brethren in the West thinking that they are united with their Muslim Westerners. The average unsuspecting Christian Westerner could be a victim of his own ignorance. cool

Save your tears for your Christian brethren in the East who consider themselves freeborn and hate to the death their other Christian brethren from the same East because of some silly tradition that says their forefathers were given to the gods.

[quote author=MelesZenawi post=86330942]What is really the problem.

Seems Muslims Yorubas are not happy with their Christian counterpart.

have you ever heard of a strategy known as divide and rule?.well that is what is going on in Yoruba land.and they attempted doing that to the Igbo's when they said any one who converted will be given five million.but it failed them.if not the Igbo tribe would have been at war with themselves

NB : THEY CARRIED OUT THEIR PROTEST WITH VIOLENT INTENT.

NOW THAT A CLERGY MAN CHOSE TO LEAD A PEACEFUL PROTEST, IDIOTS ARE SAYING; "THERE'S A POLITICAL UNDERTONE"...

NaMeAboki:
Nigerian Christians and their leaders are only paying lip service to their professed maxim of tolerance; while in reality they are the most intolerant bunch of hypocrites.
Their association is no more than a political party taking sides and participating in propaganda of disunity and opposition to the government.
They are sowing the seeds of hate and division among Nigerians by selling the false narrative that Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen are deliberately singling out and targeting Christians in their attacks; whereas more Muslims in the north (especially NW & NE) suffer far more than Christians.
Unfortunately, Christians control the media and they are using this advantage to brainwash their gullible followers into believing this falsehood.
More unfortunately is the fact that some of them have resorted to making money out of the situation; they send most gory images of the dead victims (some not even Nigerians for more impact) and burnt churches to foreign governments and organisations in Europe and America return for donations and assistance to rebuild their supposed demolished churches and aid to survivors; not minding the huge damage they are inflicting on the overall image of the country - recent visa ban to USA comes to mind.
Perhaps CAN should organise another march to lament on the capture of a Christian terrorist Nathaniel Samuel attempting to bomb one of their Churches in Kaduna - so that they can turn around and blames Muslims and by extension the PMB led government for allegedly pursuing an Islamisation and Fulanisation agenda. SMH.
What about the CAN chairman that was slaughtered??
Is that stage managed too??

Why is your heart so hard and cold to insecurity formed by an Islamic terrorist group??

Why taking side with terrorist when you know that they don't represent the tenet of Islam??

Political undertone?
I tell you what has political undertone: killing Christians by this administration, that what has political undertone.

Killing Christians via BH, Fulani herdsmen, a d the security forces turning a blind eye. Tell me how that doesn't have a political undertone.

Who are this Yoruba Muslims you people are always referring to? To my best of understanding, 90% of Yoruba are not aware of Prof Akintola's existence.

This is stale.. You guys should come up with something different
For years, I thought proof Akintola has a large following..

How many times are we going to tell some of you that MURIC doesn’t speak for Yoruba Muslims?

All reasonable Muslim groups in the south west have disavowed him. So, why do you keep promoting his opinion as that of the people of the region?
but I'm surprised no notable Muslim group in the SW has ever challenged him.

Why are you allergic to reading and understanding?
Did you miss the 3rd paragraph of my post?
What do understand by this statement?:
"They are sowing the seeds of hate and division among Nigerians by selling the false narrative that Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen are deliberately singling out and targeting Christians in their attacks; whereas more Muslims in the north (especially NW & NE) suffer far more than Christians."
Do you accept that more Muslims are being killed by Boko Haram than Christians; if so then why are Christians making it out like they are the only ones being killed or do they think that other lives are not as important as their own?

The only ppl taking sides in this unfortunate issue where everyone (both Christians and Muslims) is suffering are those who are further instigating unrest by politicising it - just because they own the media and can propagate their divisive agenda.
