Police will be more neutral than ever because you can't mess up in your community.

The tins way hold our NPF plenty not just regional problem
We have illiteracy, bribery and corruption, low self-esteem and a lot more
May God save NPF

All these can be addressed by this proposal. Imagine where your neighbor who is a policeman wants to get money from you illegally.

those saying state govt will misuse the police are Federal officials benefiting from the present method, most are even police.

how can you post a police here who doesn't even know how to swim ? how can he police the riverine area if you can t swim, how do you police in Lagos when you don't know the nook and cranny ? police should be posted to there state if origin where they can be function, where their interest lies.

Most of this policemen, if they are posted in there communities nobody fears them. My own view ooh
Why do you think the police should be feared? Respect and fear are not the same thing.

Kobicove:
I disagree!

A policeman is supposed to be independent and unbiased therefore the best way to ensure this is by posting him to an area where he will not take sides with one party in a dispute due to familiarity
You too get sense. Let's import American police.

Exactly! How can a stranger perform more than indigenes that know the nook and cranny of his place?
. You're right. FG should go and learn from UK government. Every communities know thieves in their domain. Nigeria is sicked. How can we have Malami as Attorney General where their is Baba Femi Falana? Nigeria is a country where the school certificate holder will be president over his vice with professorship title not just professor but a professor of Law. There was a country.

Posting policemen outside their zone where they can understand the language and terrain is not only counterproductive, it endangers the life of the officers and make them unproductive. But the unlearned unintelligent police hierarchy don't know this common sense

Nah, using local means he knows if crime goes on, his people will hold him responsible. His direct inaction might affect his own family including.

I quite agree with your point though

If that would sort the menacing situation we have... Then it would be a good move

But is the federal govt ready to tackle the insecurities in the country?

We need solutions not complaints!
