"Don't Bring Your Child To School" A New Controversial Law In Alvan by uncleck: 10:33pm On Feb 08, 2020 |
I just came across this on Facebook. What do you think about it? For those that know Alvan aka AIFCE(Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri), female to male ratio is roughly 70:30 (personal observation). Consequently, more than 40% of the females are married or marry before they graduate. Expectedly, disturbances from toddlers is inevitable and can sometimes become a menace. Understandably, this law is supposed to bring sanity to teaching and learning in the college. But considering the demographics of the college, is it feasible? Granted, the school has no provision whatsoever as palliatives for the student mothers. There are no gardens too where nanies can stay and take care of babies while mothers attend lectures because of scarcity of land. So what do you think about this law? Is it feasible? Would you suggest anything different? 1 Like

Alvan is situated on a very small land area. Just enough to carry a secondary school so I know where they are coming from. Someone running a daycare center there will balance things. |
