Wiifesnatcher: So flyovers are now synonymous with economic vision? SMH A state that has an over 80% poverty rate, the highest number of out-of-school children in the country, and classified as educationally disadvantaged, but the CROOKED Governor is building flyovers for Okada and gullible Nigerians are canonizing him. > |

Everytime it's flyover but some of its indigenes are poor beggers, uneducated, riding okada, shining shoes, etc in other states yet someone would come here to commend fly over as achievements. Biodun556: When you have the greatest number of out-of-school kids and Almajiri beggars in the country, it will only attract terrorists in the present and even if jobs eventually come in the future the local citizens will not have the education and/or skills to take advantage of them. > |

sevenhundred: at least to ease movements. Kano would one day reach Lagos status, in terms of population, and all ds infrastructure currently in place would go a long way but seriously I think u have been automatically put on "hate default" by whoever did ds to u. and don't even think am from the North. Am not just shallow minded 3 Likes 1 Share |

Wonderful and when the people are hungry and homeless, they can go and sleep under the flyovers. The infrastructure is nice, but the impact on majority of the citizens and residents of Kano is nil. But, if infrastructure is what the Kano state government is good at, let them do it. Better than pocketing the money anyway, even though we know the project will still be overpriced and kickbacks inflated, which I guess is the reason for all these projects anyway. |

Awusa people are still using these yellow-skin Asians to build flyover bridges; Go to Ebonyi state and see flyover everywhere, with very durable road expansion network; yet all are being built by Ebonyi state artisans through the state Ministry of Works. The North has and will always be the problem of Nigeria. Transfer technology, we're not ready; go to school, we're not ready; restructure Nigeria, we're not ready. Remove the North and Nigeria will raise Africa up. |

NGpatriot:Trust me I longer reply this people anymore cos it's glaringly obvious how hateful and bitter they are when it comes to development in this part of the country.. Just imagine shouting Igbo Amaka on a dusty road and with zero knowledge on the need for such project criticizing a working governor for providing solutions to congestion and economic losses as a result of heavy traffic along shahuci and providing murtala Muhammad hospital (the single largest hospital by patients in Kano) ambulance service a lifeline to by-pass traffic .... Nigeria is a very interesting country indeed 1 Like 1 Share

some people will stay in the comfort of their houses and be saying things they don't have a clue about... kano has one of the biggest populations in the country, I think they are next to Lagos, those people will definitely transit.. for the economy of a place to grow u need infrastructures like this.. mind u they are some state governors common to patch road they can't... at least this one is constructing... kudos to gandollar abeg... 2 Likes |

Germi9: Masses don't drive or ride on roads, flyover and bridges? Or the busses and cars that the masses drive to work or to transport their goods and services are banned from the roads and bridges in Kano? The fact that this man is massively building all over the state means members of the masses are hired as construction workers, they are getting paid to feed their families and even food vendors and so on are all making money and paying taxes that eventually recycle within the state's economy. Infrastructure spending creates jobs for the masses and attracts investments because when you are constantly building and spending money, you are helping the economy and the masses, you are also making money and attracting investors and investments, this is why Kano is doing great and able to build and why your own poor states can not do anything or build anything per the same standard and level like Kano state. What are they doing for the masses in your own state? Nothing you can show or talk about, nothing, they have to leave and seek their daily bread in places like Kano and other parts of Nigeria. I just wonder why you people don't look in the mirror to see your own backwardness and precarious situations. 3 Likes 3 Shares |
