ode remo: My man , forgive me if I am wrong , was it not you I was telling , in another post in the past, that we would be seeing this sort of thing and you expressed cynicism? I stated it distinctly that Nigerians are fed up . Even the most docile human beings have their threshold - especially in an age when the internet taunts them with how others live worldwide and even in "small" African nations. Facebook et al now connect Nigerians with foreign cyber pals who are "appalled" with their prehistoric existence caused by a few who live extremely extravagant lifestyles at the expense of the masses. Those who think we are still in the days when the PDP can rig themselves in everywhere will be shocked next year. Our leaders have been callous and grossly insensitive for far too long . They should take a lesson from history to see how revolutions starts and snowballs. |

Re: Breaking News! Protest In National Assembly by Specialist900(m): 12:30pm On Dec 14, 2010 |
Defender1:the protest is about how the house of reps purportedly passed the bill which includes them into their various parties NEC. P.s Lets not forget that they passed the bill when most of the members against the bill had left the chambers i.e late on friday evening, the purposed bill was never listed on the order/agenda of the house that day and all the clauses included in the bill gives them utmost power in the party. |

Re: Breaking News! Protest In National Assembly by email1(m): 12:59pm On Dec 14, 2010 |
it took Nigerians exactly 50 years to understand that they have a voice and can speak up, that there is no reason to be afraid of those in authority. for God sake these are the people's representatives. they are still behaving like they have the power to get back to the house but they are in for a shocker. Sometimes I feel we came into this world to play and have fun. Some people milking us dry and we can't say nothing. God love us so much, upon all the milking we are still triving. |
