The end of Blackberry has officially come as they’ve just announced that their partnership with TCL will come to an end on August 31. Due to the death of this partnership, TCL will no longer have the right to design, make or sell BlackBerry-branded devices.

Existing customers will still enjoy first-class customer service regardless and also enjoy warranties until August 31, 2022 (or as long as is required by your local laws). The BlackBerry-TCL partnership was birthed in 2016 with the first set of devices that....

They will only get to keep using it till around 2022. But since support is not prioritize in a smartphone landscape like Nigeria, blackberry's might die sooner than expected for users here.

They should still be dominating the African smartphone market now if they are had upped their game in the new Era of Android OS.

With the rise of powerful and mid budget range smartphones today, blackberry's will definitely be the last thing on so many people's mind.

True. I used a bold 2, storm 2, curve 2, bold 5 and even the passport also. I remember spending nothing less than 45k in purchasing each one of them.

I never used or liked Blackberry, not even for a day. Just like I'm still not a fan of iPhone till date. Android all the way!
