Of course you know that on a Sunday like this (3rd Sundays), is our happy home Sunday service.
Recently, marriage counselors, honest pastors have had serious marital issues within us. Many things started to happen.
Let me speak to you on ‘The terrible dangers of emotional affairs’.
It is a container that has become epidemic to both young and old and it has destroyed many destinies.
It is those seven pointers (Philippians 4: that are the things that you should be thinking about. Any thinking outside those seven boxes will land you in hell fire and cause many troubles for you.
There are things that the best thing for a believer is to flee. The best thing Samson should have done is to flee. If it is appearing like evil, you should flee.
- When you are keeping opposite sex friends unknown to your wife, it is an appearance of evil.
- When you are hiding your phone from your wife, it is an an appearance of evil.
- You sit among the gathering of questionable characters, it is an appearance of evil.
- You are telling people opposite of what you’re doing, it is an appearance of evil.
- You a believer, you are sitting among the company of drinkers and smokers despite not taking alcohol; it is an appearance of evil.
- You are in the midst of gossipers and you know spiritually well that if someone gossips to you about someone, He will also gossip about you to others; it is an appearance of evil.
- You are keeping graven images in your home, it is an appearance of evil.
- You say you don’t drink alcohol, as we speak, you have it in your fridge and the Bible says ‘woe unto him that giveth his neighbor drink,.......’(Habakkuk 2:15); it is an appearance of evil.
- You are in secret corners with someone that you are not marriage to, it is an appearance of evil.
- You watch pornographic videos and keep pornographic images in your handset, it is an appearance of evil.
- You are play worldly games/gambling, it is an appearance of evil.
- You are exposing your body to the public. The purpose of dressing is to cover your unclothedness, it is an appearance of evil.
- You are permitting the opposite sex to do immoral act on your body, it is an appearance of evil.
- You’re shooting out your tongues and lip seductively in front of the opposite sex, it is an appearance of evil.
- You do sitting postures that exposes your thighs and knees, it is an appearance of evil.
- You are sending ungodly text messages to the opposite sex, it is an appearance of evil.
- You are reserving seat for opposite sex in gathering and that person is not your husband or wife, it is an appearance of evil.
- You are going to conferences with ladies that are not your wife, it is an appearance of evil.
- You know that this bad and you should not do it. You say ‘I’m curious, I want to see what will happen’, it is an appearance of evil. The Bible say you should abstain from evil.
One serious problem that marriage committees are facing now is that a lot of people are having emotional affairs with people.
- When somebody is not your wife, not your fiancée and your thoughts are always with the person, it is an appearance of evil.
- You start having sexual dreams with the person, it is an appearance of evil.
We have had cases where we have had to beg the husbands, we have had to beg the wife when they found out their spouses are having emotional affairs. It is becoming a mad and dogfish world.
Men will hold their manhood, they will take the picture and send it to ladies.
Ladies too will take the pictures of their breast and send it to men, men they are not married to, ladies they are not married to. It is insanity of the highest level.
If you see any one doing it, you should tell the person that his or her head is not correct.
You are not ashamed to be doing it, it may end your home and land you in serious trouble.
You are looking at me, and you have done it before; you need to stop it and repent totally.
When you see a person, you blind your eyes to all the weaknesses of the person and then you begin to wish that person is your husband or wife and then you are praying for your husband or wife at home to die so that this person can be with you, it is an emotional affair.
- You take your phone at night to talk to the opposite sex who you’re not married to for four or five hours, it is an appearance of evil.
You love to send sex pictures to people, you’re having an emotional affair.
When a person is in this kind of situation and you don’t stop it, it will suddenly graduate to something else.
This are some of the issues facing the marriage committed this day, the Bible says you should abstain from all appearances of evil.
How do you abstain from this:
1. Be an immigration officer at the door of your mind so that you don’t allow all these thing to get to your mind. This is where the enemy has cheated so many destinies. This is where many land into trouble which they cannot handle again.
2. Don’t start sharing your problem with an opposite sex who also has his or her own problem.
Daddy G.O shares a real life experience with us:
A lady was brought to me who had so many problems. I started praying for her and as I prayed, the Holy Spirit asked me to stop praying for her and ask her who she slept with last night. I asked her who she slept with last night? I almost fell off my seat when she said it, she said it is her pastor she slept with. She said she went to him sharing the problem she have been having in her house. The pastor too began sharing the problems he had been having with his wife at home. When they both finished sharing their problems, they started crying and emotion set in and thereafter had sex.
3. You need to set boundaries.
4. You need to be discipline.
5. You need to be godly.
6. Avoid secret discussion with an opposite sex who is not your wife or husband. Don’t start telling someone who is not your wife that ‘you’re sexy’, and all sorts of ungodly complements.
7. Keep your family safe.
8. Flee from all appearance of evil.
9. What you cannot eat, don’t keep it close to your nose.
I pray that you don’t take a step that will lead you to destruction in the name of Jesus!
10. There is a fruit of the spirit called self control, imbibe that spirit.The presence of phone, internet, social media and technology has increase spiritual badness and it is finishing up many children of God. May the Lord help you in Jesus name!

3. Powers protecting my battles from dying, you’re a liar, die in the name of Jesus!
4. Wicked rider, wicked horse assigned against me, die in the name of Jesus!
5. Powers assigned to make me a reproach, your time is up, die, I refuse to be a reproach, die in the name of Jesus!
6. Powers that attacked my parents, I’m not your candidate, therefore, die in the name of Jesus!
7. By your name ‘JAH’, let my way open in the name of Jesus!
Grip your head with your two hands particularly if you love your destiny:
8. My head (3ce), hear the word of the Lord, reject evil arrow in the name of Jesus!
