The story of Joseph should be a familiar story to us all, I want to emphasize on verse 9 of that Genesis 39; "How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?"

Now many of us may feel this is all about fornication or adultery alone, no there is more to it. I got the revelation of this verse some days ago and I was terrified at the depth of that sentence.

Let's consider some of these wicked things apart from sexual sins (which we should by now know that is a straight NO before marriage);

1. False Accusation
This I saw so clearly, Christians accusing wrongly and I heard, how can they do this wicked thing and sin against me! It is not until you are the one accusing falsely before it is termed a wicked thing, it is when you join others to testify falsely. Be careful of joining multitudes to commit evil, what you don't know remains you don't know! How can I also accuse him/her falsely and sin against God?

2. Backbiting
Saying hurtful, insulting, unkind or evil things about a person or people when they are not there. Are you mindful of the things you say about others, either face-to-face or when they are not present? Wicked thing!

3. Unloving
It is sad to see that many Christians are fast becoming un-loving, greediness, self centredness is no more scarce. Love is fading away, when you don't love your fellow being, you're doing a wicked thing. And that love mustn't put their life in a mess though!

4. Lie
You lie without a blink, you call it cover up, you lie about anything, both little or big lie: all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire so the Bible says. Stop being deceptive, be truthful always.

5. Sexual sins
I told you there's more to that sentence than immoralities but never said this isn't included. Cheating on your spouse, sex before marriage, pornography, masturbation and so on is a great wickedness against God that created you.

I could go on and on but let's stop here for now, there's still envy, unforgiveness, stealing, gossip, inflating and so on. Check yourself and make amends. How can I do this wicked thing and sin against God? Is there a trace of wickedness in your life?
