A man took to his Twitter page with a claim that the people in the villages in Katsina State are contributing a thousand naira each to amount to a million naira for the safety of their lives.

He wrote...

"In Buhari’s home state of Kastina, villagers in Basari LG are contributing N1k each to come up with N1million demanded by Bandits. If they fail to pay, they would all be killed. They have few days to get the funds ready. I weep for Nigeria!"

There's not telling this particular case is real. We'd need confirmation from a resident there. There has been similar reports by punch this same thing happening in north.
