Vegetable farming business is one small business that people overlook but, it is highly profitable. Anyone can make cool cash from this business right from the comfort of the person’s backyard. An individual can also rent a portion of land at affordable prices to do this business.
The good thing is that it does not interfere with your office works or other businesses. If you are an unemployed young woman, looking for sales girl job to do; you live in an area where there are empty lands, you may consider vegetable farming business.
You can seriously pay your bills monthly from this business if you play your card very well. If you intend to start it during rainy season, you’ll make reasonable pay from it before the dry season comes.

Vegetable farming business: how to get started

You can agree with me that there is no family that do not consume one form of vegetable to the other. Take advantage of this to pay your bills and be your own boss. The types of vegetables you can plant include all green leafy vegetables consumed daily at homes. Follow the simple steps to get started;
*.Make use of the empty land at home or rent an empty portion of land near your home, preferably empty lands near water logged areas in case of dry season.
*.Clear the land and plant your vegetables.
*.Make water available for irrigation during dry season. You can dig holes within the farm for water storage as this may save you the stress of buying water from suppliers.
*.Visit your vegetable farm every morning and sometimes in the evening to weed and water the vegetable (in case of dry season).
*.Apply fertilizers where necessary or other manures you may wish to use. Apply pesticides appropriately (you can consult professionals in the fields of Agriculture) to guide you on the use of pesticides.
*.Cut your vegetables as they get ready for sell.
How Profitable is the Vegetable farming business?
The business is so lucrative and highly profitable because, no matter the quantity of vegetable you bring to the market, you are sure of sales. You do not need to advertise; all you need is to cut your vegetables, tie into small sizes according to the prices. Take them to the market for sale.
If you take a larger quantity to the market, you will be able to make more money. The money depends so much on the quantity taken to the market. Assuming you take about 50 ties of vegetables at the cost of NGN100 each. After selling, you’ll be going home with about NGN5,000. If you make 5,000 weekly from selling vegetables planted around your home, in a month you’ll be pocketing over NGN20,000+ aside any other business or work you do.
I am sure the income will be enough to pay some of your bills at least to an extent. If you are an unemployed graduate or non-graduate, instead of taking NGN10,000 teaching jobs in private schools, or taking an NGN5,000 sales boy/girl jobs from someone, you can comfortably do this business or any other small business.
