Juventus decided to extend Blaise Matuidi’s contract until June 2021, but the France international could still leave the Allianz Stadium this summer.

The Corriere dello Sport claims that the Old Lady set in motion an option in his current deal to make sure the 32-year-old doesn’t leave as a free player this summer.

His current contract is set to end this summer but the Bianconeri has an option to certainly extend his contract until June 2021.


The midfielder came to the Old Ladies of the Serie A from Paris Saint-Germain and the newspaper reports that the World Cup winner could be used to create some extra funds in their search for Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali and Manchester United World cup Winner Paul Pogba.

Matuidi has played 22 games in Serie A this season and has played an important role for the league leaders also under Maurizio Sarri, but Corriere dello Sport reports that Juventus are still willing to listen to offers from possible candidates.
