Angelfrost: When did Italy detect its first case? Wasnt it just this week? Are you suggesting this Italian who could have decided to fly out of Switzerland or a neighbouring country should have been quarantined because he came in from italy? What of the hundreds of other travellers who have made the most random of journeys? |

The new NCP coronavirus may not show sign of infection for many days then how can one know if he/ she is infected ? Latest information is that the incubation period may be upto 28 days before the symptoms of COVID 19 are evident. By the time a person has fever and/or cough and goes to the hospital, the lungs are usually 50 % Fibrosis and it's too late ! Taiwan experts provide a simple self-check that we can do every morning ; Take a deep breath and hold your breath for more than 10 seconds. If you complete it successfully without coughing, without discomfort, stuffiness or tightness , etc , it proves there is no fibrosis in the lungs, basically indicating no infection. In critical times, please self-check every morning in an environment with clean air! SERIOUS EXCELLENT ADVICE by Japanese doctors treating COVID-19 cases. Everyone should ensure your mouth & throat is moist, never DRY. Take a few sips of water every 15 mins at least. WHY ? Even if the virus does enter into your mouth...drinking water or other liquids will WASH them down through your oesophagus and into the stomach. Once there , your stomach ACID’s will kill all the virus. If you don't drink enough water more regularly...the virus can enter your windpipes and into the LUNGS. That's very dangerous. Pls send and share with family, friends and everyone about this ! Take care everyone & may the world recovers from corona virus soon. May all be well & happy. - |

Commentor: Bro, the international community is on red alert... They have been for over a month now... Before you go all overtly defensive, try and confirm if there's even provision for quarantine in the first place. Well, at this point internet banter won't suffice... The reality has finally hit home. Our nation is once again all over the international news!!! How many states of the federation currently have containment plans and facilities in place as we speak??!... In all, I sincerely hope we truly contain this in the shortest possible time. Just one more case, and the panic skyrockets. |

Commentor: Is it Jumia that is delaying the delivery of the goods you ordered online or your brothers and sisters (Jumia staff)? Who do you blame when your bank's ATM debits you without dispensing the cash? The ATM machine or the bank? Who employed the bribe collecting staff? Who failed to block all bottlenecks and provide enough measures to address corruption? All over the world, brand and employers take responsibility. |
Re: Coronavirus: Pictures Of Screening Equipment For Travellers At Lagos Airport by Commentor: 8:05am On Feb 28, 2020 |
Angelfrost: Which countries? I flew out of UK to SA, what was in place in these countries? Absolutely nothing. No screening device used in Heathrow for departures, that I know. In SA, they had the same thermal device which only checks for raised temperature and nothing more. This agitation to condemn Nigeria invariably condemns the citizens too. |

Commentor: Who are the people? Those in government or the average citizen? Corruption is no respecter of GDP or wealth please. The only cure for corruption is to put the right measures in place to curtail corruption and ensure those who by-pass your measures pay dearly. If poverty is the key factor for corruption, then why do rich men and women steal? You should study the yam and goat theory. |

Commentor: Lol... Your last line actually made me laugh... Dude, let's stay on topic abeg! I doubt anyone condemns this nation more than those charged and heavily paid to govern her. Like I said earlier, this banter takes nothing away from the harsh realities on ground... I sincerely hope we brace up and quickly contain this. The key word of the day remains: CONTAINMENT!!! |
Re: Coronavirus: Pictures Of Screening Equipment For Travellers At Lagos Airport by Commentor: 8:16am On Feb 28, 2020 |
Acidosis: What is the right measure. The so-called rich people steal because they suffer anxiety often predicated on a past life of penury. In addition, when it becomes a societal malaise, the rich indulge in it because it is expected. |
