Auto guru in the house,please help...my toyota camry 2009 xle 14..keep showing hood open on the dashboard..even after the hood is firmly closed..what is the solution to correct this alarm

If you recently changed the bonnet shocks, it might likely be the culprit

If u open the hood,look closely to the frame where the hood laps when closed,you'll see some tiny botton you can press inside,press them inside firmly,thats how i controlled mine.

The sensor is bad. Best solution: Buy the whole hood latch assembly. Naija way: Get a good rewire to short circuit the sensor, Cost me 200 naira. The drawback is that the hood will always appear as closed to the control unit even when it's opened.
