I find it difficult to belive that the Lagos State commissioner of health, Professor Akin Abayomi actually referred to the coronavirus as 'Lassa Fever' in his tweet as seen on this thread.

Are these people aware of whatever it is they have on their hands? He claimed the patient might soon be discharged as none of the people he (the victim) came in contact with have developed symptoms of '#LassaFever'.

Discharging a supposed coronavirus victim when you can't even place the illness... Isn't that amazing?

Both Lassa Fever and Coronavirus index cases are currently undergoing treatment at different locations in Lagos. The commissioner visited both patients and tweeted about it.

Ignorance is not an excuse to circulate fake news about someone or anything, you could be prosecuted for it.

It is sad most people will hide under the guise of internet to malign professionals (a Professor of Medicine at that) working while most are snoring, what is the qualification of the OP that you can think a Professor of Medicine does not the difference between Lassa Fever and Coronavirus.
