In your own words and vast experience of the unpleasant and incompetent way Nigeria is governed and structured. How do you think Nigeria can be restructured?

Our subject topic would be in the constitution because that’s the headache of our governance.

You can as well bring up valuable suggestions and also new ways Nigeria ought to be governed aside the constitution

You can also suggest what should be removed from or added to the constitution.

What do you think could be improved in the following:

-The power sector
-Banking sector
-Medical sector
-Religion
-Mineral resources exploration
-Agricultural sector
-Survilance
-Nigerian Police
-Nigeria Millitary
-Nigerian schools
-The legislature ( which includes number of representatives, salaries and benefits that should stop, limitation of duties to only making laws, no constituency allocation to them, etc. )
-The Governors ( which includes their limitation to extreme control over the state, number of escorts, ability to be impeached anytime )
-The local government structure of leadership
-Limitation of federal government to state matters and project.
-There would be nothing like federal roads and state roads ( this is because the local government/community heads would be the frontiers of the job and failure to implement any project completely would attract death sentence)
-Allocating projects budgets to reputable companies like Julius Berger etc to singularly do all projects instead of NDDC)
-Decentralized system of governance ( resource control, independence of states, etc)
-Town planning (which include drainage, planning a city, etc)
-Architecture
-Tourism
-Sports
- Transport system
-The judiciary

Or you can just say something like:
-Death penalty bill
-No using of SUVs by government officials ( so they could also feel the wonderful nature of our roads)
-Every legislature should no longer base in Abuja but their constituency to know what is happening in their locality. (Remember they can no longer handle any project because they’ll be irrelevant by then).
-Local government should be the frontier of major projects (because they deal directly with the people
-railway station across all cities of the country
-Wages should be paid per hour.
-Any attempt of monopolizing the economy will be punishable by death.
- Too old to rule bill.
-Judge unjustly and be burnt alive.
-Embezzle money and be put in crocodiles pit.
-Police brutality ( if found guilty, punishment by death)
-Harsh treatment of any public officer or any incompetent, dubious or corrupt practices like extortion, would be punishable by strong sentence or death.
-Apply for anything and get it within 15 minutes ( loan, permits, passports, police reports, medical, etc.
-No court should judge a case for more that 1 month. (Delayed justice is punishable by death)
-Everything should be on merit. (No man know man. Anyone caught......)
And lots more......... I mean stringent rules.

We can deliberate on a whole lot. Let’s keep it matured. No irresponsible post.

Maybe leaders of tomorrow might just be here to learn. Irrespective of where you come from, just have a say and let’s see how we Nigerians think about our nation and how laws in this country should be restructured. If these laws and other numerous suggestions of you all are put into the constitution, then I think we can become a great nation again.

Please add yours and let’s debate about it. It could reach front page for the whole country to see.

Thanks and remain civilized!!!

Resource control should be number one on the list of adding and monthly sharing of allocation should be removed from the constitution. Imagine some state IGR of N100 million over wage bill of N1.5 billion monthly.

Everything religion or religious, everything Islam or Christianity should be removed from the Constitution. It should be complete separation of religion from state. However right to worship as one pleases must be retained in the Constitution

The constitution should be throw in somewhere Because its a military made constitution. This constitution was made without people consent, no public hearing.
As long as this constitution is not met for the elite and masses continue to suffer Because the constitution was made for them. We need to adopt another constitution they must be a public hearing.

Minimum qualification for the office of the president and governors should be first degree

True federalism should replace this rushing to Abuja for allocation that has not helped anyone

POWER = Scrap national grid. Every state should generate, transmit and distribute it's own power
MINERAL RESOURCES = States should explore minerals resources in their domain but pay 50% to FG

Seccesion clause should be included in the Constitution, we missed this opportunity before because some people sold out.

It’s almost the same thing na. States give 52 percent to the government. What’s the difference? Take 85 and give FG 15. That’s Better.
