You can take advantage of the Ad-on program offered by Institutions in Ireland. The program gives you the opportunity to earn a new BSc certificate in a course of your choice within a year. The new certificate nullifies the old 3rd class certificate you had. After the program, you'll will be granted a year post study visa, after wish you can apply for masters. And after the masters, you will be granted 2 years post study visa. Its also for HND graduates. Pm me for additional info.

How can you say that? I know at least two people with third class degress that got that grade because they were activists in school. After graduation, they established their businesses and now they control millions. They employ 2.1 and even first class to work for them. This life gives to you what you demand and not what you deserve.

Dude, I graduated with a 3rd class too. I didn't even bother looking for a job after school cuz as soon as I got to 400 level and I realized that only miracle can give me a 2nd class, I quickly opted for an alternative by learning programing from an ICT college part time.
Now I have my own ICT company and I'm doing fine with my own house, a small car and a beautiful wife. My life could have gone south if I was looking for a job and waiting to get one before getting married or moving on with life
The sooner you stop looking for a white collar job with that certificate, the better cuz if you are not well connected, you won't get any for another 10 years.
Funny fact is, my company is quite popular around Ondo state yet I still used a little connection to win a contract from a tertiary institution last month.
Knowing the right people can go a long way to determine how far you go in life.

You are either in the wrong field or you are thinking wrong.

In today's workplace, SABIFICATE is higher than CERTIFICATE.

"Na who PASS KNOW book but na who get JOB KNOW THE WAY"

Learn a practical skill and be the best at it and the same employers will beg you to be employed

Another factor is WHO DO YOU KNOW..... some names are higher than BSC and even MASTERS.....

So if you are still running with the old brain mindset that your paper from school can affect your life, then you are either very very ignorant or just unfortunate.



THIRD CLASS PEOPLE THESE DAYS ARE THOSE WHO UNDERSTOOD LIFE EARLY AND KNEW THEIR PATH IN LIFE WAS NOT TO CARRY BOOK ON THEIR HEAD, and after school, it is the 3rd class persons', that becomes rich and better than the first class.

SO gbe body eh, shake of that quack mentality your experience has given you and go get 3-5 relevant self employable skills and watch how your life will change in a matter of months.

This is really a sad moment for every Nigerian students out there, when you fit into a job description and then you found out they only want people with higher degree.

Graduating with a 3rd class or pass degree I believe is no sin. But employers out there would not even look at your CV when you are below par, no matter the amount of experience you are bringing. Some unavoidable things must have happened in school that led to that, but nobody cares.

How then do you tell that to the people around you? Especially your parents or guardians who’d be feeling like their investments on you went down the drain. When people finish from the university with a third class or pass degree, they most times feel like their whole world came crashing down on them. How then do one get to a good job?

I personally fall into this category due to some unforseen circumstances but who cares. After searching fruitlessly for jobs for a year now, I just have to sit back and think about my life.

My fellow Nairalanders what is the way forward?No job, no capital to startup my own business, no money to go back for a postgraduate course. Its just me myself and I (Owusagi)

Those are the outliers... There are innumerable examples of first class graduands who are making innumerable contributions in their various fields... Even those who said "what the hell" just Bleep school and left, Lyk Bill Gates and Mark zuckerberg where first class b4 leaving... I think in Nigeria we celebrate mediocrity too much. Even those who brought about this aparthy in the Nigerian youths about Education lyk Kyosaki made his money from writing those books.. So don't be deceived, the fact that there are exceptions should not make you think that such exemptions are now the rule.. Even the fact that a 3rd class graduate is holding a viable position in the hub of academic indulgence shows an even bigger problem in the societal culture of our very nation... Though I share in the sentiment that the Nigerian Education leaves much to be desired, I still think that the individual can still develope such skills alongside good study skills.. Remember the purpose of all Education is not knowledge rather it's action. Which takes me back to Zuckerberg and Bill Gates, these 2 didn't formally finished school, but got the best of Education which move them past the tipping point of cognition to action..
